Great in theory, but I'm not sure we've actually seen those players come through. Dack and Hess have to an extent and have shown flashes, Hare not really broken through. I can't think of any others that really merit a chance from what I know about them. In the last few years, the only player I'm surprised that didn't break through was Darren Hawkes, who had a great loan spell at Ebbsfleet. However, he was at Ramsgate last I saw

Of the three loanees on view on Saturday Ehmer had a very steady game alongside Egan and it looks as if they are a reliable and improving pairing, Marquis worked very hard all through the game. He covered every inch of the pitch but still managed to be in goal-scoring positions several times and finally got his reward when the ball dropped to him in just the right place. Garmston had a few dodgy moments early on but once he settled in he defended well and also did well going forward. He was willing to take on defenders and provided a couple of decent crosses. I was pleased with the attitude of the whole team, especially Pritchard who never led his head drop after giving away the penalty and made some excellent challenges afterwards. The dark, usually dreary drive back to Folkestone was a much happier event on Saturday.
