Everyone's feeling happy because we've had a couple of wins swanleygill. As you say, against pretty poor opposition. Thursday night will show us exactly how good the new set up is and I dread to think what happened is we don't keep Marquis.
4 weeks from advertising, through short-listing, first and second i/v really isn't that long, for any job (especially when the decision maker lives overseas!) . It could only have been quicker if there was already a plan before PT was sacked, but as that seems to have been in a moment of pique, that wasn't the case.
OTOH, the £5k pw, plus whatever he was paying Taylor will be useful next season and if the current arrangement can keep us ticking over enough to stay up, why rush?
Actually not sure is there is a saving for Taylor. Presumably we'll have to pay him off?

Richard Money, 59, look what he's doing at Cambridge and the two or three clubs before them. He's our man, in my opinion. I don't think I've mentioned it before?

I think most people are in agreement that it's taken too long. A month is the top end in football of how long it takes to appoint a new manager. I won't mind though if Scally gets the right man. Where I will have a problem is if we go through all this and scally sacks another manager after a short period in charge. The last two results have brought scally a bit of time, but also placed additional pressure on the new manager as we have a tough run of games coming up

I see on the Newport website Justin Edinburgh is doing transfer business for them in the last days of the transfer window. So it is pretty sure he is not coming here despite talk of deals being done. Newport fans seemed to be suspicious because of the silence since it was said he was going to sign a new deal. The silence from Dubai is deafening, i fail to see why it takes so long. Its only a GFC managers job not an executive for some multi-national company. On recent form he will be lucky to last until Summer 2016 anyway!

He needs to decide one way or another, as you say it has dragged on to long now. Personally I want somebody new in, but after the last few results PS may well now stick with the fab4.
