I don't think a month is that long to fill such an important position. I certainly couldn't recruit a manager from scratch in that time in my business. The "mistake" here was that it was such a spur of the moment dismissal. I think in almost all normal cases, the writing's been on the wall for some time and the recruitment of a replacement is well underway before the sacking is announced.
I would never have said it a month ago, I hated that Hess was getting another go at it, but if the current team can keep us up (which they will, as PT would have done) then that's probably the best decision for the business now.

They are.., and mine was that just recently everyone is moaning about everything.. It would be really good to hear some positives as well as all the negatives. Maybe no one can see any positives.?

you can't have been reading properly then because i have said the 4 have done well, but now is time for a manager to step in. a couple of ok results does not change that fact.

For some reason you must have thought my comments were aimed at you ? They were not . It was an overall comment after reading numerous posts over the last few days.

i must have missed a point somewhere then as ive not read anything overly negative the last few days, only from swans888 but he does not count as he is just a plain moron. If i have something to say i always back it up with a reason as to why, positive or negative.

I can understand some optimism given results have improved. I'm just feeling cynical as its transfer window day and still no sign of an appointment. Haven't felt it's been particularly negative on here recently, but then again, try this board during Stimson's reign!

I think we can stay up but not so sure that Taylor would have kept us up! We are actually trying to win matches now under Taylor it was all about containment!

We've already gone 1/9th through the season without any permanent decision. Now i'm not saying i'm disappointed with the go4 but i doubt anyone went into these 4 games thinking we would get 8 points which has been positive. We all know scally's falling outs and none of these go4 seem as though they Would let their opinion go to waste with ease. Therefore, i think an appointment is vital and essential asap. More heads, more opinions, more falling outs and could in the long run lead to trouble and could easily find ourselves back in the dropzone again. Just a thought....

On the other hand one of the main problems in my view with Hess in the past is he hasn't had advise or a able number two what Scally has done has got the team playing for each other.Weather Hess is in charge or not really does matter. What matters is that the players have pulled things around. It could be the current set up or just the lack of a manager that has made players realize they want to make this young gills side work. With our without a manager makes little difference if they want it enough they clear have the ability to keep us up.What more can you ask of what is almost certainly the youngest side in the league. It could be this set up is going to work.If it does I have no problem with it.Who cares who is the boss frank if we win games.Stop all this it can't work not right how do we know if the players believe in it for now and are getting results it is working regardless of how others think it is totally mad.
