Would be lovely to think that out of the £1.5 mill, Edinburgh costs £100k and gets £1.4 to invest in the squad. Ha ha

Ha ha We have already had around 575k i think funds from the Bertrand deal we are only due 15% of the profit so that would around 925k but a lot of that could depend on appearances etc so I would not expect very much at all in the short term. Our payments I am sure will be tied to Southampton's and Chelsea's agreement.

Would be very nice indeed, but not prepared to hold my breath or anything else waiting for it to happen. Could do some serious damage with that sort of cash at this level.

Does anyone know for sure if clause 5 in the agreement of 2005, GFC getting a sell-on fee has a shelf life. Maybe 10? years on they are not entitled to as much or anything. When a fee is announced as undisclosed there is always the problem that the two clubs have come to an arrangement to keep the real sum confidential. The £10m ,was that from the clubs or just press speculation?

In addition to the basic transfer fee I wonder if the many "Loan Fees" that Chesea will have received will be taken into account when calculating the net profit figure? I suspect not.

I saw the figure of 10m in "The Times" so I guess it is press speculation.

The operative word here is profit. A 10 million fee will not necessarily translate into a 1.5 million windfall. What 'expenses' can be calculated to lower the figure? Legal fees for one....
