This does not surprise me at all, I think they will stick with this until the end of this season, if changes are to be made it will happen next season.

Hess won't go unless he chooses to. Edinburgh won't be able to sack him - not while Scally's the chairman.

It does not surprise me but i can't name a gills fan who wanted it, we were all up for patto or lovell to be assistant, but not hess, again, i am sorry but the guy is hanging around now like a bad smell and starting to tarnish his reputation, notice how hess jnr has generally been pants since dad got involved again yet still starts every game, you know what, whatever, im done with it, new manager yes, a good win today yes, should we achieve 5-6 wins from the next 17 games to stay up, yes, but as usual PS has wound me up and i think the club is just one big circus at the minute. Never mind ehh.

Hess is just breaking JE in, and who knows Gillingham better to be a buddy to the new man?
Dack J in, Hess out, start of next season.

Wouldn't be so sure. Taylor was working without a contract so wouldn't be surprised if Hess was as well. Would have been easy to move him out if JE had wanted to

Excellent and common sense decision to end of season. Gives JE time to settle and make his changes on staff and players in the summer.

Hess staying, not good. Ps would not get rid of his " yes man " too quickly. Let's hope Dack is on the horizon for next season.

its a shame that andy hess still needs to be involved, personally would like lovell to be assistant, Edinburgh will hopefully bring in his assistant from Newport with him for next season, maybe he stayed as part of the deal till next season.

Given their locations, ages and positions; it is almost impossible that Edinburgh and Hess did not already know plenty about one another. There have been long negotiations and it's clear that Edinburgh has decided he wants Hess in that position. Some of our fans must some day acknowledge that Hess is better thought of in football circles than they would like to believe. Who knows what next season will bring, or what each member of the Go4 brought to the table but for the moment I think all parties are playing it just right.

In view of the success of the GO4 and his knowledge of the playing staff, it is a sensible decision to keep Hess on as Asst. If JE decides to drop young Hess I am sure he is a strong enough person to do it, but why tinker with a winning team? PT did too much of that. Is Lovell staying on as first team coach? I hope so.

Lovell should have got it with Hess moving upstairs as scout/director. With Lovell he has new ideas and is well respected by fans and players alike.
