How things have changed since peter Taylor has gone.
We are starting to look a bit more like a football team and to score a few late goals against a top side was very pleasing indeed, doubt we would have beaten them under taylors style of management. I think with a couple of additions in midfield and a good right back and a extra striker on loan for cover we could quiet easily make a push for the playoffs which seemed a distant memory under taylor , but with a new manager and renewed optimism around the club, it will interesting to see if Edinburgh will be happy to play with what we already have available or think we have enough games to make a push and with a couple of decent signings I'm sure we could quiet easily make playoffs , which we all know , gillingham are rather good at these games, I'm sure the chairman and Edinburgh know we are in for some decent football starting with a win at Peterborough this Tuesday, I can't wait to be at the game, win this game and we im sure many of us will be thinking hey!! We could do this , we have momentum behind us now.
A happy gills fan..

It's a good job we didn't get rid of all those players you didn't think weren't good enough a few weeks ago, isn't it.

So, basically 50% of the outfield players need changing? A village has lost its idiot.

I know everything is in the eye of the beholder, but I think that Hoyte is doing a very good job at right back and with A Morris in reserve when he is fit, we don't really need a replacement in that position.

Agree again swingfield, Hoyte did very well yesterday and Morris, if we can keep him fit, is excellent cover for a number if positions. Overall, as long as the JE keeps faith with the youngsters and playing them I am very optimistic for the future of the club.

Without going back over old ground, let's just remember that these are the players Taylor brought to the club, many of whom were maligned under him. The main difference is just confidence.

Agreed Hessisgod PT has left a really good selection of young players. Watch this space there could be some real talent going forward from some of these.

"Never look back" saying has never been more important.Sure we have some old hands at the club who have clearly all done the cLub a great service in the last few weeks. All deserve a big pat on the back for the way they have handled things. It is now time to move forward I ask that fans do the same as the gang of 4 have done.Give everyone a fresh chance forget what players have done in the past mistakes etc the season has largely just started for us in some ways. We have a good set of players at Gills a lot have things to learn but all have time to learn and I think without any doubt we have the coaches that can do it. Finally the straight jacket has come off the players are enjoying their football the idiots that abuse players and staff have largely shut up for a few minutes. Some have even started to see we may be on to something. This team is may I remind people very young they can improve.I can tell you as a Dad that there is almost nothing better in life than seeing a young lad learning improving and turning into a valued work man regardless of career. Our lads have sometime to improve. I have to say while I have seen better games in all my years of watching the mighty gills.Of course there have been far more important result never have I felt so optimistic that our long term future more secure than ever. Some of that is down to Scally and Hess weather fans like it or not. Some down to the staff and players. Some even down to those fans who have by and large stuck by the team during some tough times.Sticking by someone or who is having a difficult time is hard. Our club needs us all to back these lads because with our help we really can do something special.Bournemouth have almost done the impossible with a manager with no experience when he first started.JE will make mistakes as will our young players but we can do it.Onwards and upwards up the Gills.
