...... that the football under Taylor was good needs their head tested.
Same players (mainly), different tactics and suddenly we're like a different team.

Looking back I have started to wonder if Taylor lacked faith in his own players.I am started to wonder if the youth idea was his or Scally's as PS did say a few years back he wanted us to do a Crewe or admired what they had done.We will no doubt find out in the next few months when JE brings in his players if they are still nearly all youngsters then I believe Scally may have kick started the whole thing. Then the reason Taylor lost his job was that Scally felt he had lost faith in the idea altogether that Scally could have sold him at the end of last season.Only time will tell if I am right.Taylor had never to my knowledge tried the idea before at another club. If true it leaves me very much on the same wave length as Scally which for some reason I find worrying .But it would also give me a lot more respect for him although of course some of the reason for doing it is to make the club more profitable. That in itself makes me think that Scally may have come up with the whole the long term plan himself. He then asked Taylor to recruit a young team.It has never made sense to me that Taylor brought in this young vibrant team then almost tied them to their own penalty area.

Baffled by Taylor's negativity. Signed young players and turned them into old men who huffed and puffed inside their own half. How a man of such experience had no idea how to get a talented squad playing football is strange - we know they're talented because the Go4 have got them firing with relative ease so it seems.

Just as baffling worningmood, is that Taylor managed to get the u21 Eng. team firing on all cylinders, but loses the spark when attempting to "grow" young Gills.

All I can say is thank god that Taylors negativity has been vanquished!

It has Terryjolleysboot but can't understand why it's continually bought up now. It's history it's been done and dusted a million times let's look forward not back...

As Edinburgh has said "football is about memories".Some good some not so good lets hope if Edinburgh does ever get his dream job at Spurs lets hope he does it after a great spell at Gills. I could forgive him now for leaving us if we were much better placed we can dream .
