RK anchor man Matt Cole confirmed on air following Gills 2-2 draw with Yeovil that not only are they banned from Priestfield but also from speaking to management and players. They will continue to commentate at Away games though as this is controlled by the host club

I wonder how many friends he's actually got!!

I'm sorry, I know we're all supposed be grateful and everything, but what is the matter with the man?!
Will the league have any authority to force the issue? Didn't Alex Ferguson refuse to speak to the BBC for a decade or so?

There's got to be a difference between the personal decision not to talk and placing a blanket ban on everyone associated with the club from doing so. At least the court case is finished.

Feel sure this is not the way to install confidence in or impress a new manager, thought any chairman would big enough to rise above this nonsense instead of showing petulance to this degree. Normally do feel that PS is slated to easily and to often, but on this occasion think he has over done it. PS second own goal.

PS is yet again just showing why people think he is a complete and utter wan*ker, doing what he likes to suit himself at the expense of our great club, i live in the hope that one day he will be gone, then hopefully, onward and upward.

How many times is that now ?? Why does Scally keep falling out with the local media.

If Scally believes what was said in court was not true, he should take it up with the person who said it, not shoot the messenger who reported it (Radio Kent). Sadly, our chairman is too dim to see this. As I have said previously, Scally has no legal recourse because the laws of defamation do not apply to testimony given in the courts.

Scally's obviously not completely clueless, he's kept the club afloat, brought a reasonable level of success on the pitch, managed the business that put him in a position to buy the club in the first place and achieved a personal lifestyle most of us can only dream of, but he sure does give the impression of being completely clueless sometimes.
The court case is over and the whole thing should be forgotten, although I hope someone's taken Dack in hand(Boom, Boom). Please let's not have another one who should/could have been a decent footballer if only it weren't for his lifestyle.
Who cares who owned the flat anyway? As an outsider, it seems like either, Scally needed the story to be about him, the club couldn't be in the news without him being in the news IYSWIM, or there is something dodgy about the ownership which does come back to Scally or a family member/trust. Who knows, or cares, but it's another classic manifestation of his Napoleon Complex and makes him and the club by association a laughing stock, not to mention actually being damaging to the business.

Pathetic playground stuff, which PS and the papers editor should be able to sort out over a beer. Nice one technical, and totally agree dack needs to be spoken to as he could next time not be so lucky and be caught up in something he can't get out of.

All I hope is it doesn't upset the players mindset if it does we only have the chairman to blame!!

I've tried to be supportive of the chairman in the past because he's done quite a few good things during his long tenure but this latest escapade is ridiculous. Radio Kent have done nothing wrong in reporting the court case but something has got ups Scally's nose and, as we know from previous spats with the local media, he is too stubborn to be the first to blink. The club will benefit from friendly relations with the broadcasters and the press, but lord knows where we go from here.

I sometime think Scally would make a really interesting psychology project! I'd love to know what's behind his success, no-one can deny he's had some. Most successful people cultivate a big network of "very good friends" in high places. Scally seems to alienate everyone with any influence and yet he's still successful by most standards.
