I know this subject has been debated before. However, every time I hear or read about Charlton being a Kent team or that they have the termerity to enter the Kent Cup it makes my blood boil. If it's not bad enough that they poach supporters from the heartlands of established clubs, such as Dartford, Ebsfleet, Gillingham, Dover and other senior Kent clubs they then enter into a Cup they have no right to be in. It sickens me that even Radio Kent have adopted them as one of its own. Don't try and tell me that there are many Charlton supporters in Kent, so they deserve press coverage. There are probable more Man Utd supporters in Kent, but we don't have them rammed down our throats every time I put on the Kent sports news.
As for the final of the Kent Cup. I know Gillingham are in the final, but so what, they should refuse to play a team outside the county of Kent.
Rant over.

It's to do with being a member of the kent fa, which they are, rather than location.
Why they are a member of the kent fa, on the other hand, is beyond me

So they can legitimately poach supporters and players alike! On the other hand, they have been handy for the odd loan player or two!!

I have said before that historically they may possibly be me eligible to belong to Surrey rather than Kent but in this day and age they have, in my opinion, no qualification to belong to the Kent FA. Perhaps it is because they feel that is their only chance of a trophy.
