When will an away manger commend us on our performance?! From all the reports I have read we were fully deserving of the victory outplaying them for long periods and all they say is how bad they played. JE commended chesterfield the other night after giving us a hiding!

I guess that they have two motives (1) to gee up their team for the next game & (2) to try and show their chairman that it wasn't their fault and thereby save their job.

I hope that doesn't mean JE is already worried for his job! Saying that praising the opposition certainly seemed to have the desired effect on our guys.

JE seems refreshingly honest.I am sure most chairman can see through any statement same as we can.Nothing wrong with telling the other manager (his team) or press that the opposition played well.A lot of the post match comments are total rubbish regardless of where the team are in the leagues.I have got to the point that I now skip past any interviews if I am watching a recorded game.

I notice JE talks about having a plan B and C. It seems none of his plans at Crawley included Jake Hessenthaler, whose absence was unexplained. Let's hope this doesn't cause a rift between the manager and his assistant. I often wonder about the nature of their relationship, given that JE is aware that Hess Senior was part of the panel that appointed him. Would you want to take up a job knowing you owe your appointment, at least in part, to the man who is now your number two ? Not a healthy situation in my view.

To be honest young Hess has not looked up to par lately! Central midfield is where we need to strengthen and it would surprise if young Hess is part of the future!

Agree Tjb, Hess is the opposite to what we are missing in midfield, but possibly still worth keeping as he has had a few good games. Just wish somebody would teach him how to run properly. A stint on a running track with the parents of Hoyte/garmiston would help to Improve him.
