i just love this scoreline although they outplayed us for most of the game. They all looked like they were 7 ft tall to me. Once again we struggled with getting anything in the air. What a difference Marquis made to the game pity it looks like he is not interested in joining GILLINGHAM he and Cody made a great team up front. Sitting in 12th place is now very comfortable and all I wished for earlier in the year. I thought after a dodgy start Legg had a better game today.

Fantastic result and now 55 points, still not safe, as such, but come on, we are really, surly. It is a shame about Marquis seemingly declining a contract but hey ho. on we go.

Heard a rumour today that we were looking at Izale McLeod. Probably no substance in it but love it when the rumours start to appear. This site has been very quiet of late we need some rumours to get everyone going again.

I must admit that after the first thirty minutes I thought we were in for a bit of a thrashing. Bradford City were fitter than us, quicker than us, better than us and looked a very good side indeed.
However, I didn't see the second half performance coming and neither did most of the supporters sitting near me. I would have settled for 0-0 there and then.
The substitutes were crucial and were made at exactly the right time. From the 63 minute onwards the Gills played some great football and carved out numerous chances to win by a much greater margin than 1-0. Cody and John Marquis are the type of players who get you on your feet and John's goal was one of those occasions. A wonderful goal which took all the tension out of the game. After that the Gills played with a freedom that hasn't been seen at the last four home games.
It was a very good performance from Bradford City and they must be gutted to lose after playing so well. But in the end it was another 3 very important points for the Gills and a very much improved home performance. It's just a shame that the 8000 supporters that turned up on Good Friday didn't see it.
Sod's law as they say.

With you greyfox, thought we were poor in the first half and should have been 2/3 down - Morris had a very good game and deserved MOM. Formation better for a home game and when we started to spread wider 2nd half we caused then numerous issues. Great 3 points, although on balance not deserved, but hey these games have gone against us before as they did for Bradford today. Relaxing last four games as surely safe now and JE can tinker as much as he likes now.
