I've no idea about the goalkeepers but this is possible my greatest fear ATM - that JE looks towards his old club for summer signings.

Sorry to say I think you have made a mistake while the stories about Nelson leaving may or may not be true.He is under contract so even if he wasn't number one choice next season he can stay if he wants too. Sam Baxter left us 12 months ago and joined Bishops Stortford. nonleague.pitchero.com/news/young-keeper-joins-stortford-33024/The young keeper you have in mind is young England under 17 keeper Tom Hadler who was recalled from a loan at Tonbridge Angels about 3 weeks ago and could even appear in the first team this season.

I think we have much higher priorities in the new signings front than the keepers. Nelson and Morris are as good as the majority of others at the level and I would hate to spend money on a keeper that we could use elsewhere on the pitch.

I can see us continuing to bring in more young players including a young up and coming keeper. The move to a younger squad really seems to have worked.A few small fees may well be paid. But if a young player is out of contract any fee is normally really small anyway overall we would get back far more than we spend if we target largely young good quality hungry players.I really expect JE to carry on with the same formula that was laid down last year.Young players are not getting a chance in the higher leagues we offer that proven opportunity to a player that most others will not risk.Player will take note of what has happened a Gills and I can see a lot of young players happy to sign for us. We spent very little last year but still improved the squad.I see no reason to change that formula I am sure JE will push ahead with it.If you only have one or two players that anyone else wants to buy and someone shows a interest often you have to sell to balance the books. If on the other hand you have 5-6 or more, you no longer have to sell any individual unless the price is right.
