"We" as in the English FA?
TBH, I have strong suspicions that things within the FA aren't completely as they should be but there's actual evidence about the dodgy goings on at FIFA. Why don't the FA and/or UEFA just say enough's enough? What's the worst that could happen?

As has been said else where the FA leaving Fifa just could not happen alone we could not survive. www.2ndyellow.com/2011/fa-leave-fifa-crisis/But as around 73 countries felt strong enough to upset the status quot a Uefa pull out just might happen.Simply in the short term mass withdrawal from the world cup if Europe was fairly united could bring about change in the mean time playing in Europe only events could work.

If the 54 UEFA members resigned from FIFA en bloc, and therefore would not compete in the World Cup FIFA would collapse financially. The massive amount of money involved in sponsorship and TV rights would dry up. The USA could be persuaded to join them then an alternative World Cup becomes a possibility. Sponsers and TV advertisers are only interested in big markets, so that will put UEFA and the USA in the box seat. When the bribes cease then the shysters will leave, and the real football supporters might get their game back.

Something needs to happen, in any other business or sport heads would roll, blatters being first, but that is unlikely whilst he is paying fifa money for votes.

I'm not generally a fan but I thought Prince William's speech yesterday was very good.
I don't see how it's possible for Blatter to stay, having been in charge when it all went on (even if we believe he had no personal involvement). Can't believe we're stuck with a Dubai WC either.

Certainly upto uefa to grow a pair and leave Fifa. As said above, the financial clout of Europe, plus possibly the U.S. would be enough to end Fifa

I have read that Blatter considers Michel Platini, the president of Uefa to be his number one enemy so perhaps Platini can persuade the rest of his members to consider a withdrawal. However, among thos countries that supported Blatter were France, Spain and Italy. UNBELIEVABLE!

I was surprised to read that too swingfield. Could it be that the other candidate was just as unpalatable and that leaving Blatter in gives a greater possibility that UEFA will boycott? <clutches at straws>

Can't believe there is no real opposition to blatter and seem to recall it was the same last time. Do they pay the opposition off!? Not a fan of platini, but hope he gets uefa to boycott.

When Luis Figo pulled out he said "This process is a plebiscite for the delivery of absolute power to one man - something I refuse to go along with."
Which, one would have thought, was something he would have known before he considered running. Good word for a man speaking in his second language though!
There were about half a dozen candidates at one time but all pulled out believing Prince Ali had the best chance of beating Blatter, Sadly, it didn't happen.

Our own FA are not the lily white paragons of virtue that some appear to think. Their relationship with broadcasters and the greed is good league is not one I would call noble, or even honest. What would/will happen is that we will huff and puff and adopt heroic postures before retiring with our tails between our legs. In the process we will alienate the smaller and poorer nations further, lose influence and increase Blatters power. I hope I am wrong but watch this space.

If Uefa had the major say in FIFA, it would be like the Premier League.
The European teams would cream off all they could and the lesser federations would be left with the sweepings.
I don't have any time for Blatter but at least the Africans and Asians have more World Cup slots than they otherwise would have under Uefa's influence.
Just look at how the Premier League's solidarity payments to the rest of the football pyramid have declined percentage wise since 1992.
