Andy Williams has been released , scored 22 goals last season, he's one I would fancy in a gills kit . Can clearly score at this level , is he affordable ? What everyone think about him ?

I can't pretend to fully understand how the whole system works but if they've released him, I imagine it's because he already has something lined up and/or he was asking for far too much money

Yes he played both our games and scored the first Swindon goal at Priestfield. But it is very unlikely we would be in any position to talk to the guy as Swindon can't afford to offer him a new deal see below. www.swindonlinksport.com/2015/01/15/williams-contract-talks-to-be-revisited-in-february/He will sign for a Championship club.Free transfer does not mean cheaper it often means it will cost more. There is a better chance of us paying a fee for a player than signing someone like Williams on a free as it will be cheaper. It is likely we will sign someone who has scored at a lower level or someone who has not had a real chance because they are signed for a championship or premier league club.Scally has said in KM quality over quantity so it is unlike we will sign more than one forward in my view therefor Scally pace and power comment is a clue. But a free agent with twenty plus goals at our level will be way beyond our budget. www.kentonline.co.uk/medway/sport/quality-over-quantity-37801/?

Shame but agree with you all, the salary will be well above means. Agree with PS, we need quality not quantity this season.
