gillsconnect.com/s/Gills_News_Desk/Entries/2015/7/5_AMAZING_LEAGUE_ONE_TICKET_SALES_OF_GILLS_RIVALS.html?Without checking I would guess that Bradford city sold similar numbers when at top level a few years ago.We even when in the Championship never got regularly over half of that.Even when Scally has done deals for games there is no way we have broken even taking the loss of 40% or more off season ticket sales. The biggest trick I believe Scally is missing out on is the student ticket. They are growing in numbers in the area and will in the next few years all being we be able to buy a full price ticket. That being the case a really cheap season ticket and match day ticket should be available to them.I can't see how the club could lose if they offered them for around the £150 mark or less.

As we know the club are in the best financial position they have been for years - why change what works?
All very well offering cheap tickets but how many who now pay full price would then be able to pay less - great business plan.
Many students wont stay in the area long term so are unlikely to purchase full price tickets in the future.
Why don`t the club offer cheaper season tickets to those living further away from the ground to encourage people to travel on match days

I think the biggest marketing mistake the club has made over a long period, in terms of ticket prices, is making the 12+ ticket so expensive.
You can take under 12s really cheaply, on a season ticket or reasonably on a matchday ticket and then there's the regular kids for a quid. Then just as they're getting to their teens, starting to have a greater independence over how they spend their weekends, more pulls on their time and spending money and forming the habits and interests that will stay with them for life, the prices rocket and they stop coming.

Totally agree technical, especially as my youngest ticket went from £25 to £150 at that age. I have mailed the club on this subject previously and never had a reply, which I have always found disappointing. We used to bring a mate or two, but at the prices for his age group there is no way I will do this again. It's the clubs loss as they used to spend their money in the shop and kiosk as well as collect my ticket money.
