Could Jason also be used as back up if as expected Stuart Nelson leaves this summer.

Maybe but he is a long way from league one standard these days.We should not judge him on past achievements.Jason however could make a very good coach I am sure he will have a positive impact and it is as a coach we should judge him now.I will await Glenn Morris's and maybe our other keepers comments in a few months with interest.

A friend of mine supports Dartford and said he was poor for them last season. He's signed as a coach and I'm sure we'll be after another keeper. Great to have him home though. Top bloke

From the above comments I guess we still need cover and expect that via the loan system. Good to see him back and hope he can transfer his experience and expertise to our younger keepers.

Think we will still require cover, but welcome Jason back to Gills as I am sure many do. Appreciate Friedel kept Jason out of regular GK place initially but I do wonder about his demise as a keeper, was very surprised when he first appeared at Dartford, after all even 33 is no great age for a keeper. Change of subject but have just been informed that David Kerslake is our new AM.

I was just wondering what went wrong for him as a player too dc83. We know about Friedel keeping him out but he dropped down the leages very quickly and didn't do particularly well even then, despite being still young.
Still our gain I suppose.

Younger keepers! Stuart Nelson is also 33(if he stays), Glen Morris is 31. Tom Hadler is the only youngster. Whilst I am not against Jason returning, not being availiable to play makes me wonder how effective he will be. One other point is what coaching qualifications does Jason hold?

Seems he has the uefa b for goalkeeping and outfield and due to complete uefa a outfield later this year. Then doing the fa goalkeeping diploma later this year. Been pretty busy by the looks of it.

Not clear on why he is not available to play?
