Thanks for the match report my view was much the same Tonbridge Angels played really well.I think they will do well in the Ryman Premier this season.Ex gill Charlie Webster released by Justin did really well and on another day could have had JED wondering if he had made a big mistake. For Gillingham I was impressed by Paddy,Ryan Jackson (really quick shame his crosses did not match the rest of his work which was outstanding.)Jake had a good game. Not sure about this Ex Reading trialist Edwards some really good passes but seemed to weak in the tackles to add anything to our midfield.Just 21 but not sure he did enough on the day.JED showed that the three at the back is likely to stay in place using Brennan Dickenson and McGlashan as wing backs in the 1st half and sticking with it even with Hare's injury.Loft was strangely missing and Nelson was the outstanding keeper on show on the day.Hare's injury did not look good I didn't see anyone catch him I fear for him the lad did well on the day as did 1st year pro Mitchell Dickenson a towering young centre back. The other lad that looks the part is young Tom Hadler(although he played no part) he has shot up in height and now towers over all our other keepers including Stuart Nelson.

Cheers I-blue and agree with you both. A pretty dire game that we should probably have lost if not for nelsons saves. Jacksons crossing poor and that's exactly what the Newport supporters said was his problem on their website when we signed him. The lad in midfield far to lightweight and we dont need another one of them. Still not sure why hadler wasn't played. Would have been an ideal place for him to get some senior time, albeit a friendly.
