Agree with ldb30. Can't imagine some Ecstasy months ago can been performance enhancing. Silly boy, got off lightly though.

In a world where all sporting achievement is at risk of question football has a poor record on drug testing. We seem good at catching the odd lower division player using recreational drugs and sometimes coming down heavy on them. We have been utterly feeble in dealing with the big boys.

If it wasn't the first game of the season it wouldn't be fair but as he will be available to play in all matches I don't see a problem.

Agree technical, all sportsmen/women need lengthy bans to clean sport up at all levels.
