The commitment today was amazing. A Wigan fan told me after we just did not let them play. The whole team played a part. The passing tackling closing down every Wigan player was left rushing almost non stop. While Dack will understandably get the headlines this was all round effort of sheer determination. To have a centre back comfortable enough on the ball to make really good runs down the wing. Two full backs who must make apponents worry everything they get the ball. Both of which are more than useful defenders in there own right. Dickenson is currently deservedly keeping arguably our best signing of the summer out of the team. Then of course there is Egan need I say more. In a outstanding midfield lead by that man Dack we have Hess Wright and Houghton all of which passed the ball well and got stuck in like a a jack Russell hounding a rabbit. Up top while I am sure some will call for Cody return off me our forwards are doing the job Justin has asked of them. Tirelessly chasing everything a bit like a really good sheep dog. Wigan were the sheep Rory Donnelly for me gave us the outstanding moment of the game chasing back winning the ball with a excellent tackle before making a short run and pass to the every ready Bradley who then sealed the game winning the penalty which of course he got up to dispatch himself. Behind everyone Nelson must enjoy watching the team in front of him. Because his eyes clearly are focused this season as when he has been needed he has been better than ever. Well done to one all all. Love Justin Edinburgh's tactics clearly the coaches are doing a good job. We look fit and I can't wait till the next game. Totally outstanding up the Gills.

Agree state, I thought the victory was as a team and thoroughly deserved. We looked solid across the park and kept them to minimal half chances, other than the Nelson save which was outstanding. Very enjoyable day and result, counting the days already to the next one. COYG

The gate was the one big disappointment. Got to wonder when people will come back and watch when we're towards the top of the league, playing a big club and they still don't come? ? Keep playing like that and it'll be hard to get a ticket though

Sorry jan, but do hope you have a great time. Was some big gaps in the medway stand and we guessed about right. Still school holidays and a lot of people away. 3 of the 5 I go with weren't there for example. First real stats on numbers will be the next 1/2 games as pretty much everybody there, other then Jan - lightweight!!

I was looking forward to seeing Donnelly but he never looked like scoring. Hopefully, there is better to come. Cody may be our 20 goals a season man but I think we need someone who can chip in with 15 or so.

I felt Donnelly had a really good game. No he did not score but he presented Dack with the first after a great tackle and pass by Houghton. Then was totally responsible for setting Dack on his way for. The penalty. He never stopped closing defenders down.

His vision to square the ball to dack was good. Thought he did ok and definitely think a lot more to come from him once he is match fit
