Should be a Gills victory but form counts for nothing in Cup games as Edinburgh says: "The FA Cup is a different proposition, in terms of going there being favourites for the tie. Expectation is still on us" Big Match Preview is now on GillsConnect - tinyurl.com/nrwy5na

While a few Salford players impressed Notts County really were poor. The referee let a few doggy tackles go unpunished. But it was hard to believe that a side containing so many names could be that bad. Not sure we need a bruising battle against a non league outfit. Settled for another league two side if we are successful today.

Don't disagree with you stato but they have become a high profile team and will stir up a lot of interest in the football community. As for letting a few dodgy tackles go unpunished surely we see this nearly every week ourselves.

Someone asked me to predict the result this morning. I said all I asked for was nothing too embarrassing...
I wasn't able to go today, so what went wrong?
How did you manage to get bitten by a dog Swanleygill? Hope you're mending now.

Hope the bite was not too serious swanleygill I know they can be very painful. I felt more fed up getting kicked out of the FA cup in the first round than I normally feel when we lose a match. I just wonder how much the team missed the lads that could not play today for various reasons. I am sure that Dack was missed a lot.

Stevenage were missing a few players too. There was no excuse for what was clearly a very poor showing with JED talking up the cup this week. I am guessing he will be furious. I feel for you Swanley not feeling great myself always the same after have a flu jab.(Always makes me feel terrible.) Still at least 24 hours or so feeling poorly is better than getting the flu.

Hope both you guys are felling better soon. Swanley, you couldn't put that dog in touch with JE could you; sounds like he had more bite than the whole team put together today! As for JE throwing his toys out the pram, got to say his tactics, substitutions and team selection today was poor and he needs to look at the dvd of the game when I'm sure he will agree. Dickerson isn't a left back in a four, our midfield is lightweight and under manned away and 442 isn't working ATM. Why change like for like when the formation ain't working? The team starts very slow ATM, which he has stated on numerous occasions so why be so open at the start?! Whilst most may disagree I thought his performance was poor also today and he needs to accept this loss is die t him as manager as well IMO. The last 5/6 games I have seen, we have been inept and got lucky and this needs to change if we are to achieve this season.
