I didn't go tonight but the result is another poor one! Looks like all our luck has come back to haunt us,defeat too two poor sides doesn't look good for Saturdays match against Bury! I do hope we turn it round but with Cody and young Donnelly not firing the future looks bleak! November and March have always been bad months in Gills history so should we be surprised!

I did and am I glad we aren't in div 2 or we would be conference material. Again we were out fought and out muscled by poor opposition. Second half slightly better, but confidence was draining away as the game went on. JE is going to have to earn his corn now and get back to basics with them and play tight Saturday if we are to get any kind of result.

On the plus, half glass full side, we could afford to lose 15 games on the bounce and still not be in the relegation zone, obviously this won't happen, just saying

How sure are you it won't happen swanleygill I think deep down we all knew a blip or 3 might happen, my aim was always 25-30 points by xmas, and of course we all hope for a good cup run, but here we are, out of all the cups, which is sad, but have more than 30 points in the league, so, for me, we are doing ok. Lets see what our points total is come xmas before we start panicking, i know we all want and hope for play offs or automatic promotion but id still take a safe 10-12-14th place all day long.

A bit strange Swanleygill. It was only a couple of weeks ago that you thought I was stupid for saying we were already looking over our shoulder. With the result against Wallsall when we played well and with games coming up against Bury, Burton, Coventry and Millwall. Unless we regain our earlier form and get in a quality centre forward we'll be doing more than looking over our shoulder we'll be mid table before we know it. The gates were slowly improving but after the last few games I'm afraid it's back to square one. I'm as desperate as every other fan for success and am finding it difficult to understand our lack of form. It's the same players which is strange, it's not as if The manager has brought in lots of new players to disrupt the club. Strange? Anyway let's hope they prove me wrong and quickly get back to winning ways.

Bury with one away defeat in I think its 17 games is not a game to feel confident about ! Other than the Sheff Utd game (sadly I was away on hols for Wigan at home) we have been second best in all our home games I have seen this season, now its time to turn in a Sheff Utd at home like performance which will be hard as confidence is low! Gills still lack a good out and out leader on the pitch that grabs the game by the scruff of the neck and dictates it,Bradley Dack can do it in spurts of play but his headless chicken act can let him down! We need a good experienced leader but JE doesn't seem to want that,so come on Lofty boy its time you stepped up to the mark!
On another note in our Div2 championship winning season at times we were dire and still won the league so you never know if we win against Bury the tide could change again!
At least I am not a Cambridge Utd fan with Peter Taylor favourite to become their manager!
'Come on you blue boys put Bury to the sword'(not literally)

Yes because then we had only lost 1 game, like now, we have only lost 3 on the bounce, what i am saying is, IF we lose the next 15 on the bounce and slip to say 18th in the table then is the time to worry, but not before, I personally am happy if we are 1st - 8th or 15th, maybe i am just easily pleased, or maybe i accept Gillingham fc for what it is and always has been, i certainly do not lack ambition but come on, we need to be realistic, unless we get brought out by a billionaire, build a new amazing stadium which we accept we have to give tickets out to make full the first season, then invest heavily in the squad and hope that season is half decent, until then, with our current Stadium, chairman, financial clout, the best we can ever realistically hope for is scrapping in to the championship for 1-2 seasons via the league 1 play offs, Agin, id love to be proven wrong, but can you really see us finishing in the top 2 of league one in the next 5 years, i can't, but i am ok with that.
