At least the other results were good for us. It's very odd, we've seen some appalling football and some terrible results among the lucky wins this season and yet we're still 2nd.

This reminds me of the old Gills but I'm sure it's just an aberration. JE will get them straight again. Coventry are in-form and decent gate a plus for them. 4 up at half time - did they ease up or did we bite down? Just one game - COYG

I hate to criticise JE when he does appear to be performing miracles but that seems, to me, a very odd team/formation to choose for a tough away game.

Have to agree technical, 4-4-2 was never going to give us a chance IMO. As I have said before we need to get much smarter away from home, frustrate the opposition and try and Nick games by the odd goal. We need to play 451 to stop the opposition and get us more ball and control of the game. Just read JE comments on the OS, and hope he includes himself in the learning comments as we cannot afford to rely on home form alone to stay at the dizzy heights we have been. Results ok for the 2/3 teams around us at start of play, but the wigans, millwalls etc who were just below have closed right up now. Tuesday another game and hope JE can get the same response as after the Stevenage game.

Having seen the goals on TV I think our defence had a nightmare! Lennon being recalled by Charlton on the eve of the game was a huge factor, Oshilaja has come in and played like it was his first ever professional football match! I saw the Dartford game on Monday and Deji had a shocker there so I'm not massively surprised he was so poor again today. Having said that he was excellent prior to his injury so hopefully he will improve to those levels again!

we need to find a regular partner for egan, be it ehmer or sign a permanent defender similar to somebody like lennon to form a solid backbone, something that is missing by the goals we have conceded this season, we need some extra quality in defence for sure and midfield to sustain our challenge for promotion.

'Funny old game'(to quote Greavsie) Nearly take the lead and then with a blink of the eye we make a mistake and then pandamonium in our defence. I have been wanting to slow the video down to see if that header before their first goal had crossed the line as it looked very close,so peed off with result though so can't be bothered! Lennon returning to Charlton so suddenly couldn"t have helped but you can't get away from the stats 10 conceded in our last three away games! The funny old game gets back to being a funny old game on Tuesday as Coventry travel to a in form Bradford aand if we beat Rochdale we can go top again! Logically we are not a top two team and being honest we are not a top six team either! Logic doesn't equate in football !

Nobody is going to be happy with Sat. result, but when all is said and done Coventry are a big club have obtained class loanees, we are still an inexperienced side who are hitting above our weight and producing near miracles, still second in the league, the best to come, the future belongs to Gillingham.
