Over his career Marquis's record is very little if any better than Norris's in front of goal. Sure Marquis has a few more in the professional game but he also has more games under his belt. John did have that purple patch for us a few good games but that apart he has largely failed. Where Norris seems to be slowly improving we have a believe done far better while he has played. Not sure if that is just luck only time will tell when he returns if our form improves then maybe those who get on his back will finally admit defeat.

evo
as you so eloquently put it '**ap' right back at ya! - Jackson has been at fault for a good number of our goals conceded this season - - I watched every goal again last night (I record every one) and he was actually responsible for more than I had remembered

"I know Norris is back soon but I personally don't like him"
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've heard that Norris doesn't like you either so that's ok!.
We're a better side with Norris fit and playing, whether you rate him or not.
I am intrigued as to why Cody played instead of Rory on Saturday. The previous game proved that we are a better team defending from the front and that is something that Cody doesn't do. Rory meanwhile doesn't seem to stop chasing. Perhaps Rory wasn't quite fit enough to start?

Perhaps JE was hoping that Cody would produce something special against his old team. It does work sometimes but not in this case. Regarding the defence I would always play Jackson and Garmston at full back. They are proper defenders and both can roast the opponents full backs in attack but they do deserve some decent cover from midfield. I look forward to the reurn of Norris as he was coming along nicely when he got injured. In the meantime I don't think Marquis is the solution to our lack of goals from the strikers. John has hardly featured for Millwall and I think he has only managed one goal for Orient. Samuel showed enough promise in his first game to keep his place tomorrow.

I was hoping that Cody would find his form again but at the moment that does not seem to be the case. I always thought his partnership with akinfenwa was good and also with Marquis. I was not at the match on Saturday but Coventry's first two goals seemed to be almost identical did others think that? Having let one in from that angle perhaps we should have been more prepared to stop the second.

How are we exposed down the flanks each week ?it would help if our full backs got help from the midfield after making 80 yard runs into the opponents box. Go and check how much running our full backs do during a game. Ive watched Garmston repeatedly and he runs his .... off every game and I didnt see him get beaten on saturday he had the' Liverpool starlet winger' in his pocket he even had to change wings to try and get some joy. It would help Jackson if Osadebe tracked and actually tackled his man rather than allowing Jackson to have to take two players out. No these are very good fullbacks iMO who are going to get so much better and be real assets to this club and they CAN defend

All this team needs is a good leader on the pitch, young Bradley Dack is everywhere on the pitch but at the moment with his erratic tackling he isn't a good leader!
Doug Loft has had leadership experience thats why hes Captain, as yet in the season and a half hes been here he still has not made his mark consistently on the team! If we don't bring anybody in,Lofty needs to step up to the plate!
My personal choice would be Josh Wright to lead the team but thats not going to happen!

With such a Young side loft needs help out there from another older pro and we ain't got one. As others have said egan,s game has dropped off especially when captain so another is needed from the younger ones. Wright isn't vocal enough, possibly Norris when back as he always has a lot to say and can't fault his fight. Alternatively, as said before an older face required.
