I read, with some sadness that Martin has resigned as the manager of Swindon, It would seem that he just could not cope with the pressure of being a manager of a football club.
I know that he managed a club who have been our sworn enemy for the last 30 years but at a time like this I think that you have to put that at the back of your mind.
Get well and get back into football soon Martin.

Welcome soldierboy and nicely put. I too hope he gets well soon as appeared a very nice guy. Although we have 'football banter ' between all our rivals and ourselves we must never forget that this is someone's health that is at stake and with that sentiment i really hope that Martin recovers for himself and his family and everyone associated with the game. I don't know the man personally but he's sounds a great guy. Hope you get better soon .

I have read that Mr Ling felt his depression return during his first game in charge at Swindon. What an awful feeling that must have been for a good coach trying to return to his profession. Perhaps he will be able to find a job as an assistant so that his knowledge will not be lost to the game. I wish him well and hope he will be feeling better soon.

Agreed Ling seems like a good person. It shows how depression can hit anyone even if from the outside things seem to be going well.Best wishes Martin hope you and your family can find happiness in 2016.
