i know it must be frustrating for JED when key moments that can change a game even if they are mistakes by refs but that is always going to happen when the ref has to make a split second decision and we must learn to deal them better and deal with set pieces better, its a real shame we don't have a andy hessenthaler, barry ashby or paul smith like character in the team who can lead by example and handle the dirt that teams will try and throw at you in the final quarter of the game when they are chasing the game.
i know we are all wondering what could have been if we managed to see out the wigan and doncaster games better.
i keep thinking about the last 2 games and beating peterborough next week will help ease the pain .
KEEP THE FAITH !!!!!!!

i didn't go to the game yesterday and was wondering about the free kick that led to doncaster's first goal, anyway JED complaining about the the match officials over the last 2 games is a poor from a manager who's tactical switches that have cost us crucial points in our quest for promotion, i don't want to look back at the end of the season and be reminded of these 2 games if we miss out on automatic promotion. i do think it was bad decision to let jordan houghton leave the club because i seen him play a few times and thought we was very good on the ball, i thought he was good for us and its a shame he is gone, where is he now goodnight all !!!!

On the subject of managers comments about refs it is rarely a good idea. I never saw the incident so I do not know if he has a case but even if he has it is still not going to do any good apart from maybe defecting some of the heat away from himself and the players. On Houghton the fact that Edinburgh wanted to keep him having left him out of the squad for months proves to me that my view from the beginning was correct. This decision was more to do with money that playing ability. Houghton is clearly on very good wages. We were clearly having to pay more than he was worth to the team. He started the season well but his performances fell away. We did stop using him at the same time Samuel arrived so I am sure this is the case.

According to the report on the back page of today's Medway Messenger JE has had feed back from the assessor at the Wigan game and he says that their first goal should not have stood because Donnelly was clearly fouled in the build up to their first goal. I wonder if he will get the same response from last Saturday's assessor with regards to Ehmers alleged foul for Doncaster's first goal. It does seem that we are getting a rough deal from some referee's but as usual the Football League will do FA about it.

Swings and roundabouts - can recall other managers whining about some of our goals and fouls we committed before scoring.

Yes, I agree Muppet, but this is the first time that I have heard of the Referee's assessor agreeing publicly with the complaining club. The question is, what will he do about it ? Probably nothing !!!

Wether the assessors can do anything or not we possibly will not know, I quess the only thing that can be done would be to affect the errant ref's grading, what is for sure is that the out come of the game will not be altered. As muppet said"swings and roundabouts"

We have had some rubbish referees and I understand from a ref mate of mine that they do quite often get dropped down leagues if they dont make the grade. That being said, I wouldn't want one ref decision to detract from what I still believe is dropped points due to tactical errors on our part during the same game, but we don't want to go there again!!!
