i watched the leicester v spurs game on television, it was a poor game and proof that the F.A Cup is does not have the prestige it once had, the intensity was lacking and the leicester fans were well and truly short changed.

It has been on a nose dive for a few years now. Frankly I found it crazy that in the JPT we have to play a near full strength side while teams in almost all leagues field their reserve sides in the Fa cup. It maybe time to look at the number of cup games. Weather to reduce the number of cups or remove replays but something needs to be done and quickly in my opinion.

I blame the overhyped premier league with its money grabbing foreign imports! The Premier league has succeeded in destroying the traditions of the English game! Take me back to the 70's and 80's football any day !

The whole build up to the Competition has changed, but the bigger clubs not taking as seriously does give lower league clubs more chance of reaching the latter stages and earning well needed cash in the process.

There is still a bit of money for the lower clubs to make which makes such a difference to them.

If the winners of the FA cup were entered for the Champions League, that would make the top teams sit up and take notice. also it would recreate the FA as a major competition. alas I don't think the FA have the courage to take on the Premier League.

I think you will find that FIFA and UEFA probably would have to approve that also, which i can't see happening.

If they agreed for our FA Cup winners to go into the Champions League, then they would have to let all the other leagues in Europe enter as well, and that would then seriously de- value that competition.
