To me its easily noticeable that when Loft comes on as sub he can help change a game but starting a game he seems to have no influence at all!
Subs were used earlier in a game by JE in previous games this season but I honestly thought other than McGlashen he had no one to change the game on todays subs bench ,hence late poor substitutions!
Do Dickenson and Norris come over as game changing players???
Its not over yet but Burton and Wigan look like strong top two candidates@

On today's performance sub. JE changed the team far too late, 8 mins isn't enough to and a difference. Donnelly was dreadful and should have gone at half time; Ireland squad, dream on and concentrate on your club form.

Totally agree Muppet should have made the changes earlier. Those around me felt the same as well.

Its not over yet but Burton and Wigan look like strong top two candidates@ This was a game of two halves today we were ok in the first half and very poor in the second. Loft is only good for 45 minutes now in my opinion To give 8 minutes for two subs to change a game is optimistic to say the least. Jackson Ehmer and Egan were good today and jackson played very well and my MOM. What did Chickson do ? he went largely unnoticed. He does not possess Garmston's pace or power or threat going forwards. In fact there is no threat. Ive seen him last season and watched him for Brighton in two games. In addition to today and last week at Blackpool and he for me is very average. I hope Garmston recovers soon. I would rather see Dicko instead of Chickson it was crying out for him today. Our Midfield was very poor and offered nothing for our forwards. Donnelly frustrated me with the number of offsides. Whilst Samuels showed some nice touches in the first half was average second half. Tell me this would Burton have failed to score today ? no they wouldnt. WE are a very good team but we are not ruthless enough. We are throwing away points for fun at the moment and I am being critical because we are good enough to win promotion automatically if we took our opportunities. Wigan Walsall Doncaster and Blackpool to name some of the points we have blown. Young yes we are but we need to stop the excuses; blaming the wind, the ref the pitch etc and just put teams to the sword if we want to be considered serious promotion candidates otherwise sit back and settle for mediocrity !

Tad harsh I think, so if we finish between 3-6th is that mediocre, to be honest if we finish 7-10th is that really that bad, its an improvement on last year, I am in two minds myself, of course I want us to go up, but not at the expense of coming straight back down again, saying that, if we do not go up, who says we will be competitive next season, is this season a fluke to a point, who knows, but we are still in a very good position and to have a manager for 1 whole calendar year with a win rate of 50% is exceptional, shame he took over mid season, if it was august-august we would be in the championship. We will be there or there abouts, we are doing fine.

No I think you misunderstand me, of course we are doing fine, but doing fine would be an insult to this team. This team has shown it is good enough it has led the league for most of the season. WE have blown 13 points when in commanding positions,Walsall Doncaster Wigan Blackpool and today. Of course we need to strengthen next season if we go up. If we dont get promoted we will lose 3/4 players plus a manager possibly. Theres interest in more than just Dack and Egan ! It would be a great shame not to finish in style now

Evo have you done any stats, I have not but surely Walsall, burton, wigan, Coventry etc..... have all 'thrown' away points, as we seem to have done at times this season, so it is not really about that, if you are 6-0 up with 10 minutes to play and lose 7-6 then darn, what a collapse, but, it does happen (not like that as such but you get the point) football is playing whistle to whistle, 90 mins, 93 mins or 105 mins (depending on the opposing team and ref) how is fine an insult to this team, this is largely the same team that got us up from league 2 and that finished 12th last season, what divine right do we have to finish in the top 6.

I understand where evo is coming from because we have thrown away some decent leads this season and naturally, we all being gills fans want 3 points every game and we are still in with a decent chance of the top 2 and I hope we don't have to look back and reflect on the games stated by evo if we miss out on automatic, we need to be mentally stronger and i'm sure we will go up either way.

loft better as a sub, than starting for me, he does not take control or influence of games often enough in my opinion and definitely lacks a cutting edge, i'm not a fan of loft and won't miss him if he leaves during the summer because there are far better midfielders around.

I am always disappointed with Lofts appearances. I was expecting more when we first acquired his services.

I not even sure where he played yesterday as he was centre mid one minute and then left/right the next. I don't think the changing helps, but he really needs to get Consistency in his game.
