I came away from tonights game so peed off with ultimately the fact that one player contributed to turning this game completely on its head! We were bossing the game Walsalls goalkeeper made two magnificant saves abd then we got a penalty up stepped Luke Norris who refused to let League ones most consistant player Bradley Dack take the kick and Luke Norris despatched one of the worse penalties I have seen in 40 odd years of following the Gills which was easily saved by the Keeper! Gills heads dropped the game changed and yes whos to say would Dack have scored but the fact is who would you put your house on to score Dack or Norris,it would be Dack everytime. Am I hanging a player out to dry maybe but other than brawn what does Norris bring to the team? Yes Cody was poor but he is working his way back to fitness,Croft not his best and Oshilaja exudes arrogance but the simple fact is one moment of selfishness could have ended our season. Norris has had his detractors all season and at times I have felt sorry fir the lad but frankly I cannot see what JE sees in him hes playing two levels above where he should be playing! Sadly I think a seasons hard work could have been finished in seconds!

Has he not scored out last 3 goals, when he was out we were moaning we missed him, Aguero for city MISSED a pen tonight by shooting wide, at least Norris was on target and was actually a decent save, there were many, many faults in the gills team tonight but to be fair I wouldn't place too many of them as Norris door. Harsh I say.

I'll reiterate until that miss we were bossing the game, heads dropped and then the fluidity of the first 25 mins dropped from the movement of the team! Norris's miss changed the total perspective of the game!
Yes there were other faults tonight but would not have been evident if he had scored!

It is not his fault heads dropped, we went in 0-0 at half time, the simple face is Walsall came out better in the 2nd half.

I would just go for it now drop Norris and bring in McGlashan and Donnelly for some pace up front, revert to a back 4 and with Egan and Ehmer in centre defence. Morris might also need to come back instead of Crofts!

Not sure that McGlashan brings much to the table other than speed his finishing crossing have been nothing if not abysmal,in his early days thought he was the busineess on the wing but afraid his hard running produces very little, Croft did not put in the best of shifts last night but since his return to Gills has put in some good shifts, can not knock John Egan but all the time we have El Abd John will feel warm breath on his neck for his starting place

El Abd seems prone to getting knocked about..

El Abd seems prone to getting knocked about.. He looks a class defender though,it would be nice to sign him in the summer.

I agree. He is also very verbal with egging the team on which our younger captains seem unable to do.

Agree el abd is a good defender, but reckon he suffers more than his fair share of injuries. As to giving Egan a run for his money, possibly not an issue as his contract expires end of season so possibly wont be here anyway. If we could get el abd for a decent wage then I would take a punt on him.
