That can't stand the way that this message board has one or two message of support after games when we have done well.IE Had we won yesterday only about three or four people at most would have made a comment.Sit there at games in silence unless someone makes a mistake or the team losses. All messages boards will no doubt have a few extra comments when things go wrong. All I want is a bit of balance. The lads clearly are not getting the breaks that happens yesterday and the Coventry game things just did not go our way.I wish people could look for a few positives. We are not that bad a side we have been hit really badly with injuries at a key time.I have always felt welcome on this message board but at the moment there seems there is three or four of us trying to hold of a pack of Wolves baying for blood.

Stato I have always valued your opinion and always will. People who just come on here when we lose just feel the need to complain to someone, and mostly not worth reading. That's why I try to wait 24 hours before commenting. Maybe after the Rochdale game the board will be less critical, let's wait and see.

I support you Stato in your opinion and continue to support the team. When you have been supporting Gillingham since the sixties it gives you a sense of perspective and in the main this has been a good season. Several injuries to key players at a critical point in the season has caused a temporary lack of form and confidence but one good result could result in a successful run-in to the end of the season. Good luck to the team and management for the last few games.

Thank you for your support. This board maybe reflects the crowd and wider world everything needs to be now.I feel we have taken a big step forward this season. As you say when you have seen the real bad times you realized how good things really are right now even with this dip in form.Things could be better of course but they could also be very much worse.I am glad that there are still a few people left with a bit of perspective. I have always said going down the young squad road can be a bumpy ride. But very many of the current squad will learn from this season. But it is at times like this that they need us most.Turning you back on players that for all their faults have done their best this season for me is very counter productive. Guys like Morris and Hessenthaler had good games on Saturday. That could not have been easy with so many in poor form. But the beauty of football is form can change so fast.I am glad that Tuesdays game is at Rochdale it is a chance to get way from the expectations of Priestfield and start to rebuild our campaign again.I would not be that surprised if we got a shock win.The players are hurting right now and need something to run for them.

Fully agree with the preceding comments, unfortunatley there is always an army of "knockers" who are at their best when things are not going well, nice to see there is an element that appreciate that things do not always go as we would want, and look deeper than the score line.

Come on Statotheblue, don't take it personally, this negative attitude has gone on for years. Hense the low gates and the so called supporters in the Medway Towns predicting doom and gloom regardless of how the team plays. Nevertheless, unfortunately over the years they have a point. I've been going to matches for over sixty years and it's a strange coincidence that the Gills, more than not, play terrible and lose when they get a big attendances and on too many occasions I've seen them in a great position to gain promotion and blow it in the last few games. I've been singing the performance of the team all season, but unfortunately the doom merchants will probably be proved right once again and it looks like a total collapse in the run in. I'm not one of those who thinks it's ok to support them playing Sunday morning football at Luton Rec and still think they are wonderful. Far from it. I'm desperately disappointed at this collapse and really thought this was a great year to get promotion especially in a average division. After 50 points after 25 games they only needed average form and this would have seen us promoted. Statotheblue, I really enjoy your contribution on this site, so, don't let the xxxxxxxxxxs get you down.

Its a fact of life people have opinions! I will support the Gills until I leave this mortal coil but I will always express ny opinion. My opinion is I can only recall two games this season when Gills have impressed me this season Sheff Utd and Bury at home! I was only telling my Millwall supporting work colleagues at the start of the season that I was amazed we were doing so well with our poor forward line, sadly the chickens have come bome to roost there! Logically thinking when you compare Gills of today with Peter Taylors ,Pulis structured promotion team, todays team couldn't lace the promotions teams boots. So why do we think they should gain promotion? The start of the season has given us a false dawn thats why this collapse is so hard to take!
I have digressed massively sorry, but I repeat statto everyone is entitled to a opinion, positive or negative surely thats the point of these boards, opinions regarding 'The Gills'!

I always thought that this fan based site was open for anyone to express an opinion about anything related to The Gills. I do hope people will continue to do so and express their opinions as they see fit.

every gills fan has a opinion and that's what makes the forum interesting and diverse and sometimes heated opinions exchanged between us all.
At the end of the day we are all pulling in the right direction regardless of who we like in our side up front or midfield and so forthcoming.
I don't think most of us thought we would be struggling like we are know and I already thought we were definitely in the playoffs, but football can change so quickly and we must rally together and help our team make the top six .
really do hope we can win against Rochdale because a defeat will mean they and Barnsley will be on our tails.
up the gills !!!
