we are struggling to score goals at the moment and time for conor wilkinson to be dropped because he just cannot do it at league one level, we either play eaves or nash this weekend and its no coincidence than playing conor up front has been a big contributing factor to the gills faltering lately and that portsmouth goal was just a flash in the pan and hopefully wilkinson has played his last game for us and joins ade at barrow fc, because he lacks the quality to be a league striker.

we can send him out on loan if possible because i already knew the guy was not good enough for league one or league two, time to find a striker who knows where the goal is like john marquis.

Dear dear Taffy surely you can see young Conor is not being utilised in the correct way, he is not a out and out ball winner as I have said before he is not a back to goal forward. His strength is running at defenders and let's face it how often has he been able to do that this season, sadly it's too much hoof ball. Against Pompey, Stevie changed tact from the first half hoof ball to Eaves and allowed us to run with the ball causing their defence no end of problems. Consequently Conor and Lee Martin thrived on the initiative given.

Basically Connor hasn't been given good service. But nor has anyone in the side .Sorry but he needs to make things happen Lovell has given him a run in the side with Eaves unavailable and out of form of late .Wilkinson had a opportunity frankly while he did get a cracker at Pompey that goal apart he does look very ordinary most of the time .Lovell has not had that player who is able to regularly lay on chances .That sort of player would have cost big time in January. As a result the attacking players have been asked to do a job .In the main Wilkinson has not been able or willing to do enough. No good blaming others and moaning. He has had loads of chances in different roles. That being said he is still our number two forward goals wise .That said if Lovell needs him I am still hoping he will step up .

conor will never make the grade at gillingham as a regular goalscorer and that is obvious, we are his 7th or 8th club and im pretty sure he will reach double figure within the next 2 or 3 seasons, he does not posses the natural attributes of a regular goalscoring striker.
time to move on to another club !!

I’ve never rated Conor, he just doesn’t look comfortable when he gets the ball, and rarely attempts a shot.
I know we have a number of players whose contracts are up at the end of the season, so hopefully that will give Steve the chance to get some new faces in and freshen things up so the team are playing his style of football.
But, I think most of the players Ade signed are on two year deals, so in cases where they just aren’t good enough we’ll never sell them so would have to try and get them out on loan.
