Well if we were expecting the Brewers to be flat and heavy legged then nothing could have been further from the truth. When we play 3 at the back with wingbacks it only works if Reilly, Byrne and Parker show up and Non did yesterday. Is Byrne past his best because for me he has been very poor all season. Sitting in the away stand in the corner isn't always the best view but Burton came at us all guns blazing with little defence from our forward line and our midfield lacked bite and allowed Quinn and Frazer to walk through us. We were fortunate not to be 2/3 goals down in the first 20 mins. However what we have got is a hard working defence. Lists solo run was a wonderful effort and he was unlucky not to add a second with another run. Pace always frightens defenders. Were we lucky Possibly - but we hit the target every time and were very efficient with our attacks. Burton for all their possession failed to be ruthless enough. I think Holy should have made the save for Frazers second goal that being said it was a great strike. Im of the opinion its not how much you have the ball in this game its what you do with it. Well done Josh Rees great strike and he made a big difference when he came on as he did against Southend although I'm not his biggest fan. Well done again Gills for a spirited display - Swans try and get to a few games before being so harsh and dependent on your TV stats or wherever you get them from. I took a few friends with me and they thoroughly enjoyed the game as neutrals end to end entertainment and I would rather watch that all day long

Evo..it's not going to be like that all the time and from a neutrals point of view, I'm glad your guesses enjoyed the entertainment with you, but from the diehard fans point of view, we were completely overrun and miraculously we still somehow managed to win when they drew level.
Our fralities are still very much in evident every game, that was a freebie, but perform like that throughout the remainder of the season and it will be very borderline and new faces will hopefully come in soon too.

CyrilSwan, what is the difference between, as you put it; 'from the diehards point of view', how does that view differ or take precedence over any other point of view??? Are you one of the diehards who has a superior position on all that is Gills?

Couldn't get to Burton for various reasons, and find listening to the match commentary on the radio too nerve-wracking, so went to watch Dartford instead. Their game finished 3-2 as well, a good match all round, and when we got in the car to return home, we heard the Gills score and were mightily pleased. Out for a walk on Sunday morning, we met someone who had gone to Burton, and he was saying what a dreadful game it had been. The 3 points didn't seem to satisfy him at all, but how vital they could be come the end of the season!
