Very few businesses could or would operate by waiting until CCJs had been issued by a court as a matter of common practice. Not least because no suppliers would continue to do business with them and no bank would support them; it's hardly something that could be kept quiet. Delaying payment pending a CCJ is the last resort of the unprincipled or the unfunded - sometimes both.
For a professional football club which is supposed to have the community at heart it would be a despicable policy to follow.
I think it's much more likely that Mr Scally had some cash flow problems and decided to let someone else share the pain.

In fairness he didn't start the thread so it's a bit rich to criticise Swans for having a view. I entirely agree it's become a tedious subject but then so has the season after season lack of funding, bullshite about investors and stadium developments etc. So long as all that continues fans have a right to speak about it.

Anybody who does not support Scally is not a true fan.
That is 95% of all Gillingham fans.
Scally will never be person who you could say anything positive about.
He is a divisive figure at the helm and his alienating attitude is bad news.

He is a divisive figure at the helm and his alienating attitude is bad news. The most alienating thing I’ve seen are the members of the Scally out brigade who attack and insult anyone who doesn’t blindly agree with everything they say. Calling people who’ve bought season tickets idiots and sheep, calling anyone who doesn’t agree with them a “Scally lover” etc. It’s those attitudes which are going to stop the Scally Out movement from ever attracting a serious number of supporters. Until they can learn to bring fans together rather than driving them away they will never be more than an annoyance. One of their latest gems is trying to blame Scally for the supply issues which are affecting the delivery of kits to the majority of EFL and EPL clubs. As for the CCJ, hasn’t this been set aside?

Yes manc but YOU call anyone who criticises Scally a Scally Out Brigader, as far as I’m aware no one on here is one of them. So, glasshouses and stones.

Yes manc but YOU call anyone who criticises Scally a Scally Out Brigader, as far as I’m aware no one on here is one of them. So, glasshouses and stones. Anyone who wants Scally out of the club could quite correctly be referred to as being a member of the Scally out brigade, especially people who drone on at length about it. On the other hand, not believing the blatant lies that some people spout does not automatically make one a Scally lover, nor does buying a season ticket make someone an idiot, or a sheep (both terms I’ve seen used). I also don’t use Scally out brigade as an insult, rather just a way to describe a certain subsection of the fan base, where as they use “Scally lover” as an insult. It’s a common way for those who lack the ability to engage in grown up debates, insult your opponents and dehumanise them so you don’t have to engage with them I.e. “why should I engage with you, you’re a Scally lover”

Many , Scally out Brigade as a term is precisely the kind of group generalisation you claim to be against. I'm not anti-Scally because I'm part of a mindless movement, but because of his behaviour, his attitude and his track record of lies and dissembling.
The use of the term is just a cheap jibe that deflects from the real issues surrounding the club. I gave Scally credit for the Harris appointment because it merited praise, just as I criticised him for the Evans appointment.
As for the CCJ it has been set aside precisely bacause it's been settled, otherwise the court would have moved to enforcement which might well involve seizure of assets and further costs.
What does astonish me is that some people are saying they are fed up with the Scally criticism but remain very quiet about the causes of that criticism.

Ooh dear, you ve excelled yourself in BS and that’s about it. Ah but it isn’t BS, but as usual you dismiss anything you don’t agree with. I notice that you focus on the use of the term “Scally out brigade” but do t seem to have a problem with people being abused by that same group of fans.

I never said the Scally out brigade was a “mindless movement” you’ve invented that because you clearly feel that is the group you belong to and are trying to deflect by inventing a reason to be offended. There are a great many things that Scally can rightly be criticised for, but people don’t need to bang on about them continuously. Swans is a prime example, it doesn’t matter what the thread is about but he will turn up droning on about Scally driving all the normal posters who want to discuss the club away.
