Stevo, a decent BM stand would increase turnover. How would it? We don't need it for home fans. I don't believe that league 2 sides are going to bring significantly more than the 100 or so they already bring because we've tarted that up a bit

GF, Brad has already said FFP rules DO NOT AFFECT US AT ALL. I forget why, some smart getting round things. That's right - owners can put as much money in as they like which counts towards your turnover

Well if home fans went into a portable Brian Moore stand it would ease refreshments. If the stand had a roof it would attract more away fans. It would stop being an eyesore and it would pay proper respect to Brian Moore. All good enough reasons in my book...if we're staying there.

Donut, couldn’t agree more. It’s an eyesore. If you put in safe standing and opened one half to away fans next to the main stand, I’m sure it would add to the atmosphere at that end. Make the other half forGills supporters and take back the Gordon Road stand for Gills fans. I’m sure segregation in a new stand would be possible.

Because investment money or share issues are not counted as turnover.
As for the LEDs and other advertising /promotional material if you are a potential client for this what do you look at to decide ? You look at the deliverables - that's the audience size and frequency ( opportunities to see). So clearly an attendance of 6000 doubles the potential of an audience of 3000. Better football might also deliver increased TV coverage from bigger games ( particularly cup matches) and corporate sponsors are much more likely to take guests to an exciting game with a good crowd than a tedious 0-0 bore draw.
You can't build success with on-field failure.

You can't build success with on-field failure. You can do both. I'm pretty sure they've announced record commercial revenues this year. You ignored what I said previously about said spending. The amount they've spent should have yielded better results

I agree you can do both - I don't accept the guesswork about what our player budget has been/is. I don't think any of us knows, I simply look at the way we have brought players in, the timing and the results. For example how could we possibly justify paying any kind of salary to Andrews, who we acquired as a crock and who, frankly, looks to me a like a more heavyweight version of Hawkins ?

I can't say we've invested in the squad despite buying Hutton, Dieng, Lapslie, Masterson, Mahoney and Maloney because I don't know what they cost or what their salaries are? In which case, nobody can ever do that because nearly all fees are undisclosed. And you can say we haven't invested, because you don't know either

My concern us that some transfers in have been presided over by Jackett of course but more worryingly, Scally cheapskate by his side, players on the cheap, don't pay agents, all making you feel better because you hate paying out for quality, but not paying for crap, gets you where we are now. Aside we have an unproven Coach to boot. If we were in for decent players and hoped our Coach could work with them, we seemed to get put off by the cost. That smacks of Scally. I hope he's really gone and not just Brad pretending. Meanwhile we need to know if Brad is willing to pay out for quality needed in spine areas. Stats won't get you that.
