Keeping Scally at the forefront of the club certainly doesn't mean progression so what is our American owners actually ruse. The playing structure is absolute dire and I have it on good authority the state of the dressing rooms and the overall state of the stadium is very shabby. Do they actually want what is best for this club or are they just after a long term profit on the clubs location.. . The football this season has been the worst I have seen in my 50 years of watching the club so progression on the pitch cannot be their aim!!!

I don't know what they re up to and they talk well, but I've seen enough to make me suspicious, I've no confidence in Comper, and for me I've had enough of it. Not interested in them at all, so i still fear for our club.

How can this be the worst you have seen we are two points off a playoff spot,so all those relegation years in the past were better than this ? Were a Second Division club, that's one stage off of teams like Dorking Wanderers, Wealdstone, and Woking, what do you expect Spurs or West Hams ground ?

I have been following football since 1969,not just the namby pamby Premier league era. Definitely the worst I have seen losing to non league stature clubs like Harrogate, not just losing but getting thrashed.Thats the ultimate humiliation..drawing with a Sunday league structured side like Forest Green. It's not necessarily the league position we are in its the quality of football and the last three seasons in particular have been crap. I was all for giving non league clubs the chance of promotion but I honestly think it's taken the strength of football in the lower leagues to a all time low.

I was there in the 1963'64 season when we got promoted winning the old 4th Division Title. We had like I think a couple of away games at the end of the season so we didn't know we had got promoted until the 4.45pm scores started coming in on our black and white TV. I can remember running out the front door and several other kids were running up and down the street shouting and hollering. That was a great team with Simpson always in green in goal, Pully Gibbs,Yeo,Newman, they wanted to play for the Gills . Then came the 1970/71 season,we had struggled for a couple of years but 70/71 was a disaster, amazing thing is we played teams like Fulham Aston Villa,Brighton, Luton,I am sure there was others that have made the now Premier Division that relegation hurt ,end of the world, hahaha, but we bounced back a couple of years so all was well again.

I will be forever grateful to the ‘Americans’ for saving us from Non league football last season. Let’s get that out there. I think a lot of people have already forgotten this.
To be honest the fact the ground/dressing room is a bit shabby doesn’t matter a jot. Have you been to the other Div 2 clubs? There are plenty doing well this season with shabby stadiums. What does matter is the investment in the squad and a manager that will galvanise the team/supporters. On the manager front we are sadly lacking and the squad investment has been very poor. I don’t blame the Galinsons for that but the rest of the Gillingham management.

Good on you. My first game was Charlton v Hull,January 1970 but 69 Fa Cup final was the first game I remember. Moved to Medway in 71,found the Gills in 73.

BG's ;latest pronouncement on the club's future is not reassuring to those who believe( as I'm starting to ) that football is not his primary interest. If I was planning a real estate deal for Priestfield I wouldn't spend any money on the Town End either.

Mm, not really sure what's going on but looking at quality generally, well its just not there is it? I can't really see Brad not developing and then selling the land SW if we have nowhere else to go, can you? I can see him doing that if we were going to a new Stadium but he's not thinking that way at all. I'm not sure if he lacks real ambition or not, it doesn't look like it unless he has a plan one step at a time but he needs to sort properly what goes on on the pitch first and atm he's a million miles away and getting longer. Don't look good any way you look.

His comments are logical. Why spend money on a development that is currently never used? Real estate in Gillingham…it’s a dump. Why would he want to knock it down and build houses. Now that isn’t logical…

Well, prime building land and money to be had I would have thought. The town end would be used if they dismantled it and brought in a semi portable stand with a roof and would make the place look a lot nicer. It's surely not that difficult.

Especially if we're staying. If we are staying, then do something about a park and ride system on Saturdays. The Town end is an Insult to the great Brian Moore.
