So they're out.
Nice to have a home game to start. The Bromley games in December and New Year's Day are exciting for me - my Dad was a Bromley supporter before moving to Medway in 1959.
On paper, it looks a really weak league with no standout sides and some pretty small clubs - Harrogate, Morecambe, Barrow, Accrington, Newport, Grimsby, Bromley etc have all been non league clubs recently. Maybe MK Dons, Doncaster have decent budgets, but this isn't a league we should be scared of. We do, however, clearly need to add more than the 4 signings to date.

Not great for me, most of the nearest away games to me are when I'm not here.
Do I presume first game will kick off at 12:15, because of sky showing all of the first games

Ah, just found that Article 48 will not be applied to opening day fixtures. Unless it gets chosen for the main sky broadcast, then it wil be moved

The sky deal is literally a way to kill lower league football

The sky deal is literally a way to kill lower league football Agree. How many fans of ours and other clubs will travel even to home matches if the team aren't doing that well, and will prefer to sit at home and watch. Unfortunately,I have already bought my season ticket ,or else I wouldn't have done, and just picked the games live that I particularly wanted to see.

Think it depends on the 'fan'. The occasional fan will pick their games, but real fans and those that go regularly, I would suggest, will still go to games irrespective of the television, unless circumstances dictate. The issue is though it makes forward planning very difficult. Watching on TV is no substitute for watching the game live.

For local fans, then yes they will probably come, but a lot of fans travel quite a distance ( one fan I know ,comes from Cambridge) and will it be that attractive to come that distance when you can watch it at home?

Please, Please the Gods of Footie , make this the last year we have to play in this division, get us up at least into the First Division where we can play teams like Birmingham,Wrexham, Huddersfield, Charlton,Reading, etc,OK big name teams that are not what they were in the past , but a little more exciting than playing Port Vale ( we seemed to have played them 200 times over the last 50 years) or Fleetwood,Crewe,Carlisle etc. You really do have to be a true fan to go to away games at Grimsby, Barrow and Carlise in late January and early February. Come on you Gills and come on BG you still don't appear to have signed those two 15 goals a season players we need to get promoted. Sunday (30th) is the day that players who will be out of contract will be able to sign for the GILLS, please don't let us down,we need to go UP next May.

Each to their own , I come from further north than that, not to all matches I admit, but being able to see it on tv doesn't influence the games I attend

Quote from Sky Sports site:
Within seven days of today's EFL fixture release, all broadcast-selected matches will be allocated until the end of September.
It is now seven days ( and 30 mins) since fixtures- no sign yet. Well there's a surprise
