With no sound reason this could be a slip up. In my head I'm going through the similarities of our 95/96 season where we were the most organised side in the league and lost that solitary home game to Colchester for no reason at all. But disregarding my nerves after 8 matches in, on form we should put these away. 2-1 to us as every time they have faced a decent team, they seem to lose and 3 more points on the board hopefully!

I suppose it’s obvious, but the longer the home form continues the more nervous we become and we hope the winning run continues. I don’t think tonight’s match will be easy, so anything other than a loss would be acceptable. However, another three points would send out a strong message.
I can’t see the attendance being much higher than 5700, which will be disappointing, as once again it proves that the support is fickle even when the team is top of the league. For the club to really progress the stadium needs to be bursting at the seems.

Think we'll win again.
Not going to get the big crowd as it's midweek. Think we'll be looking at a season or 2 of consistent improvement before we can expect to see regular large crowds. We're keeping in the right direction.
Think this could be high scoring. Maybe a 3-2 to us. Need someone closer to Nevs more often and we'll start seeing him regularly on the score sheet.

Grimsby have lots of injuries and have lost both their keepers. In the market for an emergency loan. I can’t see us slipping up. 2-0 Gills.

Grim indeed, Bonner wasnt ready for them which is shocking, the first chink in his armour, bad tactics, too predictable, shocking. It's down to him. Extremely disappointed tonight. Well done Grimsby, now about the reaction with players back. I'll get over it but I'm not happy.

Yes, extremely disappointed. Why did the players revert to the long ball all game. They have been better than that this season. I appreciate Grimsby pressed high and their forwards didn’t give the defence an easy game, but that’s no excuse to just hump the ball forward. I just felt Grimsby wanted it more than the Gills, and that’s not going to get promoted. Yes, could be a blip, so let’s hope so.
Medwaystandgills, you were right to have doubts and a slip up was the correct call.

We set up all wrong especially with Hutton missing but other than that, there was labouring, not tracking back by Clarke J and I thought Bonner had stopped all that. He wasnt quick enough to see what was happening and change it. He needs to kick a few up the Aris and while hes at it give himself a bigger one. Crewe will be waiting to go for our throats. Bonner better address this awful performance or, and im not overreacting, just saying, his Aris will be out the door. I expect him to correct this on Saturday and spend a bit more time on the opposition.

Still top. Grimsby did a Gills, frankly, and wanted it more than us. They were quicker, nastier, pressed better. Disappointed with the subs he used. Bad day at the office.

Once again the Gills DON'T have that 15 or 18 goals a season goal scorer because the owners does not want to spend the money, two shots on goal in 90 minuets yikes. All the time were wining that is OK, 3 points a game is great BUT ??

Really didn’t click up front, I thought the substitutes were attacking. Walsall lost 2-6 tonight. Everyone is capable of beating anyone in this league. They defending resolutely and we couldn’t break them down. We move on, still top of the league. Missed Hutton tonight. Hope he’s back Saturday.

Get a grip we are still top.
