I can see a draw today but we ought to be winning it. We need to win it. Meanwhile I've just seen a Doncaster goal at Grimsby, torn apart when attacked with pace and guile, something we didnt have.

I have had the same concern for every GFC game over the last 3 and a bit seasons. Who is going to score our goal(s) ?

No Dack again, I don’t know why we bothered with this trip down memory lane, he’s finished. On the plus side I heard it’s a paid when play deal. Think we will win today.😄

I dont think that's the real problem. This looks like one of set up and continuing to play Nevitt on his own. Yes dack and Andrew's are a bad move but if you keep doing the same thing, what's gonna happen? Bonners already in trouble if you ask me and hes behaving like hes a one trick pony when I thought the opposite.

Everyone complained last season we had no width, we need wingers we all agreed. We have 4 now, problem is with 2 wingers playing you end up with 1 upfront. It’s tricky this management business…..

Are the wingers any good though? Nolan on paper should be, but he’s done nothing since the opening game, really. Clarke has improved, but is he winning the league material? Rowe is proving with his injury record why we have him (he’s another like Andrews we should have known about) and then we’ve got Gbode who I believe is yet to score or register an assist in a senior gills shirt.

I have had the same concern for every GFC game over the last 3 and a bit seasons. Who is going to score our goal(s) ? Déjà vu, all over again. As you say, goal scoring is all ready a problem. Great start again and now 2 defeats on the trot to dampen our confidence in the team. It doesn’t take long to fall off the pace. Early days, but Bonnor needs to have a good week with the players and sort this mini crisis out. It doesn’t make sense why the same players now look fragile. Makes the fans forum look interesting. Instead of being straight forward, won’t be congratulating each other and happiness all round There are so many average teams in this division, you don’t need to be much better than average to walk this league.

After the Grimsby game I was concerned about Bonners comments, his comments after this one are incoherent as to what he can do about it. To me it looks like nothing, all the signs now look as though we will slide. Goodness knows how this has happened, but it isn't good. Hes becoming suspect in his selection and his tactics. With no one to rescue him on the pitch I fear the worst. Something isnt right and it seems to have happened after Barrow and his comments after. The players seem tired and clueless. He says no lack of effort maybe that's right were getting done on the counter by Crewe of all people because we have the ball but are not good enough to do anything with it. Apart from Carlisle that what weve done to others. Good teams do lose ie Pulis at home to Colchester way back but they recover straight away. We haven't and I'm afraid thus guy is no Pulis. This does now seem like Clemence and Harris continuation with the potential to be worse. Now we also see Clemence recovering from 2 defeats with a load of injuries to his squad. How does that happen when he was so awful with us?

I say keep the faith. He got Cambridge promoted 3 years ago with a lot less resources than he has now. Brad has supported him in the transfer window with a box to box midfielder, two wingers, three strikers and a few more. He’s never been able to play his best team due to injuries and we are still 2nd. Andrew’s and Rowe will be back soon, alongside Masterson.

Hoping yesterday was a blip and nothing more than that. The problem again was goalscoring, something we have done pretty well so far until the last week or so. Nevitt reminds me of oliver a few years ago, who quite frankly had a thankless task. I'm sure the lad has goals in him, but he isn't so good to do it all on his own. Bonner I think likes us to play with dynamism, so some of our slower players seem an odd fit to this system. Pretty much every supporter for the past 5 years has called out for us to play 2 up top, maybe just maybe it might shake things up and surprise our opponents.
Accrington should hopefully provide us with a chance to get back on track, fingers crossed we do.

Trouble is he was gifted with Cambridge, he couldn't fail, Hoolahan to get him out of trouble, plus Mullin and Ironside plus others. We have some good players but not the same. Dack and Andrews are total crocks in my opinion, say goodbye, that leaves us with what weve got and lets face it our Hess and jackett cant be relied upon to correct it in January and it maybe too late anyway.
I know in my heart Lindsay would have got a song out of this lot, and we ve missed our opportunity for good, hes going upwards. We gave a fantastic midfielder in Little and we still cant get it done. Blip i hope, blip I dont think so. He ll be gone by Christmas if we re serious.
If Bonner continues to play Nevitt up on his own I will scream at his intransigence. It isnt working, hes not a target man, he needs another forward with him, why do these managers just get a system and stick to it when its clear it's a mess!? Probably the players know it. That's why we ve been poor. Does anyone have any confidence Bonnner can fix it?

I said a few weeks back we need someone closer to Nevs. Either another striker or the attacking midfielder. Lapslie likes to break late into the box. Williams wants to dictate the play and have his foot on the ball. Neither giving enough support to the striker. Little seems to run the midfield from slightly deeper meaning our attacking midfielders are pointless as they become just another pass that slows the attack or get bypassed and then the striker is on his own. I've seen good things from all 3 strikers we've played this season. And you could add Gbode as a 4th if he isn't out wide. 442 would work great with these players. Clark has been super consistent but gone under the radar a bit. But from the highlights he got beat too easy for both goals yesterday. Poor pass from Hutton on the first. Mackenzie and little are a solid midfield and both offer things going forward. Which makes me wonder why we need a central attacking midfielder as well. I think Masterson gets back in this team easy, although Ogie is a solid backup with room and time to improve. I'm still feeling this team makes the playoffs playing 1 up top but we have a real chance by getting another striker in the mix of the automatics. I think Dacks doing his preseason at the mo so will see him in and out of the team for awhile. Probably won't see the best from him till the new year. Too soon to judge him as a crock just yet. Andrews is a nice option from the bench but I don't see him as the answer to any of our problems and wouldn't be surprised if he leaves at the end of the season without ever getting a run in the team. I'm not panicking yet. Think this team still shows more than we've had for awhile and has a good chance of promotion.

It’s way too early to start getting stuck into Bonner. He did a superb job at Cambridge (rubbish he couldn’t fail- he made the likes of Mullin who wasn’t a regular scorer before Bonner had him and Ironside was the same) and he’s started brilliantly with us, What we know 10 games in is that there are no outstanding teams in this league. That means everyone is going to beat everyone else. Is anyone honestly saying that at the start of the season you wouldn’t have taken 2nd place 10 games in, because frankly I wouldn’t believe you if you said no.
I have to admit, I really like him in a way I never liked Clemence. Clemence was as wooden as an oak tree and I heard things inside the club that wasn’t right with him- he was seen as aloof with Stockdale doing all of the talking with players. He wasn’t interested in the kids and let’s be honest, we slid badly under him. Bonner is superb with the media, very honest and forthright, he has a clear vision and I’m told inside the club, the players respect him and work hard for him. We’ve seen some of that in the never say die attitude of early results.
I’m going to tempt fate, but I’ll predict we at least make the playoffs this season and I think we’ll be top 3.
