It’s way too early to start getting stuck into Bonner. He did a superb job at Cambridge (rubbish he couldn’t fail- he made the likes of Mullin who wasn’t a regular scorer before Bonner had him and Ironside was the same) and he’s started brilliantly with us, What we know 10 games in is that there are no outstanding teams in this league. That means everyone is going to beat everyone else. Is anyone honestly saying that at the start of the season you wouldn’t have taken 2nd place 10 games in, because frankly I wouldn’t believe you if you said no. I have to admit, I really like him in a way I never liked Clemence. Clemence was as wooden as an oak tree and I heard things inside the club that wasn’t right with him- he was seen as aloof with Stockdale doing all of the talking with players. He wasn’t interested in the kids and let’s be honest, we slid badly under him. Bonner is superb with the media, very honest and forthright, he has a clear vision and I’m told inside the club, the players respect him and work hard for him. We’ve seen some of that in the never say die attitude of early results. I’m going to tempt fate, but I’ll predict we at least make the playoffs this season and I think we’ll be top 3. Well Hess, I do not think we re getting stuck into him, the clones site and the YouTube and ME7 boys all share the same concerns. That includes why oh why play Nevitt on his own, what a waste of a decent goalscorer. I picked that up agai st Barrow, perhaps he doesnt rate wakeling or Wylie enough to do it and hes waiting for Dack and Andrews that's my worry. If you re gonna play his system he got to tweak it somehow, is he up to it? I honestly dont know, we ll soon find out. You re right I detected Clemence lack of personality and aloofness as he walked along the touchline and I was glad he went before that. Perhaps hes doing ok now because hes picked his own robots. If Bonner is a man manager nows his chance to prove it, against Carlisle we were all about but since we ve been tough but very lucky. Players have been missing and we dont know why. Injury after injury. If he cant get these singing on the same sheet by Accrington and continuous afterwards with the players hes got, then he wont be able to stay regardless if hes likeable. I find myself thinking about January to put it right but I'm not happy with that thought. I heard Nolan was getting grief from the loud mouths on Saturday which usnt good, you want him to enjoy playing here but it's not his fault, they re doubling up on him because we're too predictable we havecto find a way to free him by changing and not putting our eggs in the right wing basket. Bonner must see it, we can.

And why would we need to change it radically when we are 2nd and throw the baby out with the bath water? Maybe Wyllie comes back in for Nevitt who didn’t get a pre season and needs more time to bed in? But to radically change personnel and formation? Nah

No nevitt is an asset if we use him right and put Wylie ir someone alongside him. Now I'm not saying Bonner should go now, I'm saying if this continue he will have to. Nows his chance to put it right, if he doesnt, its bye bye.

I’ve enjoyed watching us play this season far more than last season. I really don’t understand the negativity when we are 2nd and some of his key players have been injured.

The absolute melt down, not just on here but on the other sites, has been embarassing to be honest. Our fan base need a good hard look at themselves.

Well a little harsh when the evidence in front of us is more than enough to concern especially with the insistence of continuing with something which doesnt work..clearly.

I don't think it's "clearly" not working when we're second in the league. I think 2 up top will be an improvement but we're doing ok currently.

Well I'd say you need to look at the bigger and more recent picture.

What the bigger picture that we’re 2nd in the league with 6 wins in 10 playing that way?

Hopefully remind the players we have no reason to panic, but that he does expect more from them. He's got a week on the training ground to work on attacking patterns. I'm sure we will see a response Saturday.
