Watched it on YouTube. Thought the 4 of them came across really well. Not sure we learnt anything new but a good forum. So different from the Scally era.

I like Bonner the more I see. Normal, amiable, honest.

Totally agree with you both. For me the biggest thing about the last few years of scally was that our club wasn't being run properly. I'd go to clubs like orient, Burton and Cambridge away and be enviable of how they were run. Bustling club shops, plenty of food options, beer that was in date and good matchday experience, even if we did end up losing! Yes results are the most important thing, but just doing a lot of the simple things to make people want to come to matches matters as well. I personally didnt want a mega millionaire, just people to run the club with care and consideration. Everything the Galinsons and Comper said last night, just made common sense, particularly about ground expansion. In Bonner it is refreshing to have a manager who doesn't get bogged down in the manager talk like his predecessor. If we don't go up(i think we will), we won't be far off and hopefully he will have the board's backing to at least see out his contract.

Biggest thing for me is with how the club is being run at the moment local businesses will actually work with and sponsor us again. A football club is there for the community but the local business community gave up on us a longtime ago. People feel happy with how we're being run and engaging with the community now that even without success it feels your football club again. Listened to some of the fans forum. I don't think you can take much away that you don't already know other than theres a good vibe between those running the club for the fans and the fans.

Scally.....311 to 11.
Personally we need to get rid of Jackett and Hess too who are part of his clan.

Yep. I know for a fact that on several occasions Shepherd Neame wanted to significantly invest in the club. The trouble was they wanted to work with the club and not just give it money. The proposed fanzone between Gordon road and Rainham end is the sign of how things have changed in the past 12 months. Hopefully many others will come on board.
