I personally think we’ve just got to suck it up for the season, unless we’re in genuine danger of relegation. If we don’t finish in touching distance of the play offs, then Bonner should go. Regardless, I’d lose the recruitment team now and put the manager in charge of recruitment in January, whilst only allowing him to bring in loans.

That is certainly one answer.

I don't have confidence in MB and think the players have lost respect for him, the longer we leave him in charge, you can see us being further away from the leading pack each week.

Mark Robins has become available. That is the type of manager we need. Hope we don't miss out on him like we did Lyndsey Now, we may not be able to attract Robins but we should try

We should be able to attract that calibre. I dont know what advice the Gallinsons are following but if they want success they have to spend. They cant do it on the cheap with no decent contacts like now. They have to wake up, get rid of deadwood and move it!

I look at us as a club and I honestly feel unless we have a major overhaul we are slip sliding towards non league football . I agree entirely about the incompetence of Comper and I have no faith in Bonner he can talk in front of the media but I bet he hasn't got the respect of the players,he is all wind and p!!s.. The Gallinsons have to be admired for their input but across the board below them the club reeks of a utter lack of professionalism... The club shop is a plus but then it's let down by nobody manning the phone lines for queries..
I am going with some hope against Port Vale against Saturday I need to otherwise what is the point of going but if I see Turner or Coleman in the starting 11 I might as well turn and walk out of the stadium as they will be the proof Bonner does not know what he is doing... My only positive feel is that we beat Chesterfield and Notts County this season all be it maybe with some luck so it goes to prove we can win games..
Sadly I am now beggining to put us on a par with Colchester a side always dwindling in Div 2,we have a better fan base but they seem to have better organisational ability regarding their fans.I was very impressed with them last season they have come along way since their Layer road days although that doesn't get them promotion. Like Colchester now but we could be like Southend soon if our club doesn't get a major shake up across the board.

I've always maintained that we should never have got rid of Harris, yes he probably would have left for millwall, but I was having a chat about why he is doing well there. The reason, he has a solid defensive unit but he has been able to bring in quality attacking players like langstaff and Ivanovic. Had Harris been able to bring in someone like Alfie May, though probably not him, but a top proven striker for this league or the one above then we might have done a lot better this year. The owners have tried the wave the magic wand with a new manager twice, unless we can back Bonner or anyone else with quality signings, I'd suggest 3 or 4 top drawer players in the central positions rather than waiting on crocks or players that can only play 10 minutes then the owners dreams of promotion will remain just that.

Well yes, if we employ people like Max Clarke with his average wages and a reject, if we employ people like Ogie with his average wages and a reject, if we employ people like Max Ehmer, with deserved respect to him, if we employ people like Coleman, with his average wages, if we employ people like Jayden Clarke with his average wages from down below, if we employ several number 10s who are all similar, if we employ crocks, if we dont employ a commanding goalkeeper, if we dont employ someone like Sean Raggett or Piergianni because we dont want to pay their wages, if we dont employ a seasoned hardened nut in central midfield alongside the only decent signing I can recall in Little, if we dont employ a goalscorer..known, if we dont employ pace,..known. then guess where we ll end up??? If we dont employ and pay for League One standard players so that even if some of the risks work out, you have a better balanced squad and team, you ve got it....or worse, where some of the down below players have come from. This is an appalling reflection on our recruitment, something the last 3 managers haven't been able to handle, only Evans from recent memory would have been able to do anything as he proved and that still wasnt quite enough. Its fairly obvious and I know its repetition, the club despite any investment, is being run like a village club and its got to wake up from the front where customers meet those who are supposed to be on the frontline, right through recruitment and team management, then the team on the pitch will stand a better chance. It really is basic Housekeeping and we are shockingly behind, no progress at all since our mastermind ex chairman left and brad has to get help and change it, that's if hes even aware. I for one wont put up with it and there will be hundreds of others. I wouldnt put up with Hess, Jackett, Derham or Comper. Brad has to see past them...unless he is like them

Suddenly I read things like we HAVE to spend,we have to bring in ON LOAN PLAYERS (they cost money) and to be honest if there not from the First Division or above, (who will cost even more) then that will be a waste of time. To think it was only a few weeks ago I was being verbally insulted on here by some members because I said the owners were BEAN COUNTERS. Well between mow and the third week of November we will see how serious they are about getting GFC promoted out of the pit of English football. We are still only a few points outside of the playoff spots but with the Walsall game being postponed the Gills have only today and Tuesdays game against Stevenage to make a discussion on what there going to do regarding on loan players. Loses in those two games should instantly start a search for a new manager ,although I fear bringing in Sir Ale Ramsey himself to manage the team the owners have put together might not do a lot of good. I have this fear that no matter what happens today the Gills management team will say w we have two weeks to get players healthy so no need to do anything, were going to be OK.
