Well, as Showerseal have now sponsored the worst stand in the EFL for the next 5 years, what chance of a new stand now.
The present stand is an eyesore and an embarrassment.
I can’t believe the lack of foresight or ambition to move the club to higher divisions.

That Gillingham End Stand is truly the worst in the UK.
25 years it's been there is embarrassing to say the least.
Not worth developing it to be honest because the club needs a new stadium and it will be dead money wasted on a project that have no longevity.
A new stadium will naturally bring an extra few thousand on the home gates.

Agreed, i suppose if we go up they can renew it while still sponsoring it, not at the expense of Brian Moore I hope

A new stadium and exactly where do you think that is gong to be built, I would say more chance in Lower Upnor then Gillingham . I would rather this season see the owners spend money on new players than a new stand, lets worry about that next year when were in the First Division. As for a new stadium attracting more fans, I would totally agree for about two months if the Gills are not winning.Look at MKDons there gate has gone down every year due to there lack of success . When I started going to Gills games back in the early 60's we stood on steps at the Gillingham End, out in all weather, didn't even have a stand, lol.

Good. Waste of money. No need to develop that stand, we hardly ever need it.

Agree with greyfox. It’s an embarrassment and a disgrace. I think we’re a long way off needing a stadium. Even a single tier stand with a roof would be a vast improvement and help the atmosphere in the ground

That would make the atmosphere worse - taking a bunch of people from the fuller strands and moving them up time other end. I can't see that making the atmosphere better

I would rather we filled the rest of the ground and spent money on the squad. Seems an unnecessary spend to me. I don’t really care about away fans to be honest.

Apart from any other issue what's amazing is that any commercial business would want to be associated with what's generally regarded as the worst away 'stand' in the league. Full marks to our commercial team for selling that idea.

New Gillingham End will have capacity for 500 hot tubs so fans can make a splash.
