Yeah its been quoted on here a couple of weeks back. Well nobody will be surprised about the unsavoury character, my point would always be, there were two of them at the club, unsavoury characters I mean, one playing off the other. Scally cant get on with anyone let alone someone with a strong personality and he would bring the worst out in someone like Evans. Also someone like Pulis and many others.

Evans is a convicted fraudster, a foul-mouthed bully, an obese slob and disliked in just about every football ground in the country, not to mention the one he had to be escorted from by police. Apart from that a truly wonderful human being.

Yeah he doesnt have to be, he chooses to be, he shouldn't do it, he doesnt need to do it. I can though understand his frustration with Scally, most of his nonsense is bluster, except for the fraud. He should also regret those things....

One local player who played for him a few years back said this to me "He was alright when you signed for him, bit as soon as you had an off day, his only way was to shout, scream and eventually isolate you" this is coming from someone who is still having a great career. Many other players back this up. Evans was, is and always will be a nasty piece of work. That match against Ipswich was pretty much organised schadenfreude. The players had enough of someone who was only in it for himself. The football was dire and laid the blueprint for what has followed. Quite simply Pennock aside this was the worst appointment in my 30 years or so following the club. Never wanted him and glad he has gone

And yet, some players will run thru a door for him and follow him round...alex macdonald for example.

Like Evans or not he knows how to get results and get teams playing.
To get out of league 2 you need to play a certain way and playing possession based football does not get you promoted with our current squad.
We will not break into the top 3 under MB, his lack of knowledge and contacts within the game is no better than tier 5 / 6 manager.
Personally, I wouldn't trust his judgement on players in January, so there can only be 1 outcome after Xmas.

Don't you think our reputation has suffered enough over the last 20 years ? It's no use criticising Scally for his behaviour and attitudes then arguing for the return of someone like Evans.
