For away games without a win? I can't find the stats for it despite the trusty google! By my calculations we're on 31 in all comps going back to the last game of the 08/09 season when we won 1-0 at Rochdale.

To give Stimson some credit for a change, he was a good at getting away wins in League 2.

We'd need to go all of the season and some to beat it. In league games alone, it's in the late 50s.
I won't be surprised if we do manage it though.

if we win away then it no longer becomes gillingham cant win away, it becomes stimson cant win away so that must happen because surely this is hanging over the players heads a bit because as a fan it is to never win away because now i have confidence like today then we concede a sloppy goal last minute and it just makes me seem negative for the next away game

Stimson's fault The last squad of players who regularly won away from home was the Pulis / early Hess squad.... Stimson had some sucess away from home a couple of seasons ago, but as per the away results against the Shrews and Exeter, we (as fans) could never be completely confident of an away result and that all the away wins were probably seen as bonuses. When we do finally get an away win then it won't be a case of "Stimson cant" - Stimson did at this level and it'll be interesting at the end of the seaon to see if they both had similiar away point totals.

Gillingham's record I believe is 38 - inlcuding the whole of season 92-3. In that season we led with a minute to go in 3 successive games but still drew all 3 (so the Man City play off result was not really that unpredicatable for a GIlls fan!). We ended the run at Carlisle (we nearly ended that run at Morecambe this time around!) Accrington is the nearest game left that we oplay to Carlisle (Good1 - I hear some frequent travellers think!)
I should think the all time record must stretch to over 50 games (ie 2 seasons +)but I'm not sure who holds it

The Gillingham record for most number of away matches without a win is 28.... The Bradford defeat on Saturday was non-win number 27...
