I fail to see now how anybody can offer any defence for Hessenthaler.
I have said all along this was a crap appointment of a crap manager and I have always stood by those convictions.
Just got off the phone to someone at the game and apparently we gave them so much of the ball it was a joke.
Hess clearly does not have a clue, conceeding 7 to accrington, pathetic, totally and utterly pathetic.
He has no tactical ability whatsoever, we should be pressing the ball, winning and keeping posession, getting the midfield to help the defence and try and tighten things up but we didnt. We apparently just allowed them time on the ball, freedom of movement and 7 goals.
Also, Gowling is as useless as subo's rape alarm, as I have also previously mentioned.
I wish Stimson was still here and that is saying something.

In fairness I probably should have singled gowling out from what I heard.
I have just observed his frailties more than most this season and it was he that my chum was the most voiciferous in his criticism towards.

Is it not a coincidence that the matches that Gowling is a liability are also matches where no defender covers himself in glory?

It's also odd that bigjon has been strangely quiet for the last two games and after a loss he reappears with his usual drivel. No doubt we'll sack Hess, appoint another manager and he'll be calling for his head after his first defeat. I'd have so much more time for him if his postings werent always the same. I guess we should be grateful for some originality in that Hess is "crap" now rather than "shitee"

Hess should go as his record speaks for itself. Look at the League Table and weep. We have to win three or four on the trot to get back in contention and score two goals minimum per game for the rest of the season to stand any chance of getting out of this League. Is Hess the man to do it? I doubt it going on his last ten games. Hessy's Blue & White Army are going nowhere fast.

Of course it is disappointing to see Gillingham FC in the position that we are in in the league 2 table, however I do feel that people are panicking a bit too early here. Last season Northampton were 21st at Christmas, their first season having come down from league 1. It took them half a season to get going and get everything clicking. They went on a good run and ended up finishing 1 or 2 points off the play offs.
We can still go up, it is just a case of not panicking too soon.

I seem to remember nick that you said similar things last season and looked what happen. The stats do not lie - 10 games and ten points - we might not go down but it will take a mammoth turn around in form to get the 80 points needed and around seventy five goals in the net for promotion and/or Play-offs in the 36 games left. Let's get real.

Nope, I've criticised him to. What gets under my skin is that you've never supported a single manager we've had, never posted a positive text and only come on this board to moan when we've lost making the same old tired points. It'd just be nice if you wrote something new. Let's face it, given you want Peter Taylor back, you don't have much credibility do you?

I think the team are trying too hard and too nervous. The message going in was to be tight and we were the opposite. Our games go as follows: First half don't do what Hess asks so half time roasting and mild improvement. But why the problem? We don't seem able to decide whether to play high tempo or keepball after going ahead or getting level away from home. Example. In the time it took me to text a friend about Cody's excellent goal (3-3) we were 5-3 down. Madness! Matt Lawrence was an accident waiting to happen against Burton and we were lucky to win. Yesterday he and Gowling were a shambles. If the message going in was to be "tight" in the first 20 mins why did we give them so much time AND space on the ball. The players seem to think they don't need to bother because we're a "big" team in this league. Look at how Lincoln, Cheltenham and Southend came and closed Bayo down and pushed us out. THAT'S how to defend and play away from home. Although not a fan of Bigjon and Jaggysnakes often one dimensional attacks on Hess I must admit that their fears are being borne out. I am a Hess defender ( no pun intended but I still have my boots if needed!!!) but the great motivator ( Hess par excellence) may not have the tactical nous ( Hess non par excellence) to find a way through this. He should do, has the badges and experience, but there seems to be a problem in communicating the message. Is it clear?....does Hess know what he wants? And where does Hendon fit in? I hope we sort this quick and Gills do well this season with Hess but the key point of tactics ( As raised by Bigjon earlier in the season) is a serious concern. If we needed to be tight yesterday, how come we conceded 7 goals to Accy? ....... UTG.

Incorrect, I supported Stimson from his arrival, through and beyond our first relegation with him, all through the season before last and well into last season. It was only for the last 4 months or so that I could see we were becoming doomed under him and wanted him out. The thing with Stimsons side was that at home, we were very good. Teams did not want to come to Priestfield and even big teams fell upon our sword. Under Hessenthaler we are not doing this. We dont look like a decent side in any way shape or form. His tactical knowledge is laughable. I have always said that from day 1 and I also said from day 1 that exactly what is happening would happen. Hessisgod, you bleat on about my negativity but what is the point in stumbling along in some kind of deluded bliss offering unconditionally positive support when things are going so wrong??? I will speak my mind when I want, and as much as people may hate to admit it, I believe I have been pretty much on the button all along. It is time to get hess out. That way we have time for a new man to get in, familiarise himself with what we have and make changes in January if necessary. If we were to get relegated this would be the end of the club, the ground would become houses and scally could drive off into the sunset in his merc stuffed full of cash.

Jon, very sadly I had a look back through your old posts a few weeks ago. I didn't find a single positive one in your 43 posts on this board. All were criticising Stimson/Hess/Scally/players etc. You're entitled to your opinion, but it would be great if you came on here after a win once in a while and offered some positives as well

Fair enough perhaps I should be a bit more generous with the praise aswell.
The positives I can see are that we have a top-top player in Akinfenwa and a bit of quality in the likes of palmer, barcham and weston when he is on form.
