gary johnson the peterboro boss has lost his job.
i wonder who the new boss will be, i know they have a large squad and a high turnover of players, i just hope the new man in charge doesn't fancy whelpdale and lee and wants a clean-out. hessie will be straight in there and promotion will be a guarantee.
if stimson goes there, he will bring about 9-10 players in and the same number exiting the door.
;D

7th in the league with a game in hand and unbeaten in the their last 5 games despite their top scorer being injured. Won last league game 4-1. Even with what's going on, probably the stupidest sacking of the season. Would have thought we have no chance of getting Lee/Whelps now as the new manager will want to assess all of his squad

For what he did for both Latvia and Yeovil, I thought Gary Johnson would be a hero in those parts. He then took Bristol City up to the Championship but almost to the Premiership. So I would be very happy indeed if Gills appointed him at some time in the future (not now, obviously, with Gills winning 6 of the last 7).
Peterborough are on a good run, despite a rather dismal defeat recenlty, so I can only assume that Preston and Ferguson parting company and the Chairman's vision that Fergusin was the man had something to do with this decision. Will he be proved correct or has he just shot himself (and club) in the foot?
So there you have it - my theory that Johnson's sacking may have been prompted by Preston sacking Ferguson means that with 9 managers having departed already this year means 9 potential targets for clubs not happy with their current form and position - Stimson for Chelsea???

Both Lee and Whelpdale played the full game for Posh yesterday. Let's thank them , forget them and move on. A striker is what's really needed to add to McDonald and Akinfenwa.
