Tonight's results weren't so kind to us. Stevenage and Torquay both won their games in hand and have gone above us so Gills are now down in seventh place. There's still a long way to go and looking at games in the next few weeks I think Torquay will gradually drop away as they have a tough run in. I still think we can claim third place behind Chesterfield and Bury as Wycombe also have some tough games and it could yet be a straight fight between us and Stevenage for the last automatic spot. It's gone be a nail biter!
Come on you Gills!

How can we be playing catch up when we're in 7th?

Our recent away draws with Torquay and Stevenage were fair reseults. Neither are bad teams but over a season we have a squad that has to finish above clubs like this.
Our problem is we do draw too much, do not kill sides off and do not have a midfield that over the season has scored goals. Also it seems gone are the days when a Barry Ashby type figure came up from the back and chipped in with half a dozen.
We need Cody and Bayo to stay fit. We need Barcham and Weston to back them up in the goalscoring and if this happens we will be fine. Lawrence is a fantastic defender at this level and Maher has been superb in marshalling the troops from defensive midfield. I`d love another attacking option on loan before the deadline. If I`m honest we`ll make the playoffs, heart still says automatic.
We must win at Cheltenham
The CatMan...sort it out Hess
