Left Plymouth yesterday with the club stating mutual consent. Does anyone know anymore than that? Was on my wish list for the gills at end of last season.

I'd be very surprised (but delighted) if it was anything to do with us or we were able to sign him. I can't see him wanting to play second fiddle to our main pairing

Would seem to be for family reasons according to a report from the Argyle end
"In an interview for the official club website he mentioned that only himself would be moving to Devon and therefore he would be away from his daughter back in Liverpool. This could have been a factor in his decision."

Thanks al. Would be great to have him at the club although it seems like I'm really clutching at straws. Has Hess said anymore on bringing another striker in? Felt last year that bayo and cody went off the boil due to knowing they would be playing week in week out. Still worry about Oli, not only ability wise, but his injuries. Ideally I would love an experienced striker to join or alternatively a young championship striker on loan chomping at the bit to put pressure on these two. Or does Hess already think with have that in Payne?! For me though, think another striker is just as important as a left mid and far more important than another keeper.

Agree and think hessy has already made up his mind about Dennis and Stefan. If we dont manage to bring in another half decent forward then hopefully both Lee and Whelps will manage to bag a few from midfield

If Liam's problem was being to far away from the Liverpool area can not see being in the SE as being that much better, also seems odd that this was not considered prior to going to Plymouth only two weeks previously. Although the consensus of opinion from previous postings does not seem to favour Oli , KM article today seems to disagree, seems Hess said " We have Dennis Oli who is coming back".

I think the problem is hard to find any established striker who will agree to join to be second choice to are current pairing, reallyy need a youngster to do that maybe rooney being pushed forward into that position with potentially a loan signing to provide cover being the best option to provide another option.

Hess could sell the club to the 'third' striker on the basis that with the other strikers also being new to the club, the player has the basis of breaking into the first team with good form. Kedwell and Birchall are expected to be our main pairing, but haven't had time to be our established pair yet. A new third striker doesn't have to break up the exisiting 'pairing', merely click with either Kedwell or Barchall in training first.

Signed a one year contract at Southend today. Why the hell were we not in for him?!
