HALF TIME : BROMLEY 0 v GILLS 0
Talyor starts with many of 'first team' on the bench for the first half. Gills comfortable from kick-off with German having a good game along with McKain and Dack. For Bromley Birchall and Higgins look sharp.Passing not quite accurate enough from Gills going forward and goalmouth chances are few and far between. Boss Taylor unhappy with some of the Bromley tackling as first Dack was upended and then Linganzi but both carried on after treatment.
Stanford looking a good prospect for Gills as is ex-Gill Adam Birchall who tested Nelson and is 'everywhere' man for the home side.

55 minutes gone and still 0-0
Gills new goalie Glen Morris makes an early save in second half from Adam Birchall and Ademola also tested Morris. Gills a bit slow out of the blocks for this second period. Surprising speed from Gills winger Dickenson and it will be interesting to see how he fares against League One defenders. Bromley have another chance from Ademola but saved by Morris.

One hour gone and still 0-0. Gills in control but always a worry with score goalless as Bromley make two changes looking for the opening goal. The result might not be the main item here as the game is certainly a good work out for Gills with many players showing good touch and fitness.

Bromley 0 v Gills 1 (Kedwell penalty) : Unfortunate for Bromley bringing down Keds in the area. He steps up and scores the penalty and Gills one up.

Bromley 0 v Gills 2 : Two goals for Gills in a minute with both Gills flying wingers combine with McGlashan on the right crossing for Dickenson to hit home

Bromley still trying to find the net and Danny Waldren was brilliantly stopped by Fish followed by a great curling shot toward the top corner by Adam Birchall that had Morris beaten but went just over the bar. Disappointed in Cody McDonald and Kedwell combination tonight but I suppose it is early pre-season days. Cody had a good chance with five minutes left but unable to get the ball out of his feet for a clean shot

FT: BROMLEY 0 v GILLS 2 Kedwell (Penalty) Dickenson
Good work-out for Gills and a comfortable win in the end. Many positives for Peter Taylor to take from the game.

Cody and Kedwell didn't perform well together last season so I don't expect that combination to be any better this.We need another experienced striker who can play with either of them.Cody needs someone to make runs and set up chances. Keds can't do that.MA wasted quite a while last season to get those two to be effective together, and it didn't work then, and it won't now.
