I know this has been mentioned before but I'm using this forum to vent my frustrations. Seen a link via Facebook that training wear is available at the Megastore. Having checked throughout July whether I could purchase the new home kit, I thought I could at least purchase some training wear on line: no can do! This is really frustrating as the online store is absolutely awesome once I do get orders in, frequently delivering purchases within 24 hours!
I have to say I've always found the club very slow to release the new kit but having read recently that it is unavailable until August 16th I question the motivation of the club to delay the availability of the new stock until after the season has kicked off. Surely we're missing out on revenue...? A new shirt for myself and the kids would be a must buy before the holidays, to proudly show my allegiance while I'm away! I suppose I can wear my old shirt but to be honest, I'm a little bored of it considering they didn't even release a fresh design last season!
All the clubs where I live, in Lincolnshire, have had their new kits out for weeks!!!
This surely this isn't that difficult to arrange for release in the close season?!

Same thing every year and I am sure we have debated this the last two pre seasons. Totally agree links and not sure we will ever get a decent reply from the club. Must say though on my holiday I did look the business in my pink number, although my boy did spell business as to##er; he really needs to listen more in English !!

Same every season. I'm never sure if the problem is with the manufacturer or with the club.

Or that the club doesn't see the shirts only being available from the start of the season as a problem. From memory, the club has always been late (in the fan's mind) in having shirts available.

It's certainly something that the club needs addressing, replica kits should be ready during the summer period and there should not be any excuses for delays, it's august and kits not available before the start of the season is poor and this has happened before, can anyone let me know in the last 15 years how many times has the kit come out late ??

My guess is that the club would pay more to have them ready by mid July.Having them arrive late could save the club a lot of money with almost every club wanting them at the same time.If Mr Scally feels it would make no extra sales IE the same number of shirts are sold and he is still selling a little old stock cheap.A 2-5% discount (from the manufacturer for example) could make a big difference to the profits on the season shirt sales.

With an approx 500% markup on a £40 replica shirt made to order in Sri Lanka the extra 5% profit is minimal

My sexy £5 pink number may have to see the light of day more often as the play off winning shirt is looking a little shabby and must be saved for those most important games.

It is frustrating that the shirts arrive late as I would like one for my daughter for the M K game but the reason could be as mentioned before the peak demands by other clubs for their kits! The main reason for my post is praise for the club in the quality of their sale items £2:50 for a decent pair of adult shorts(my fat bassa size) and also the track suit bottoms for the same price very good quality! The kids zip up water proof training jackets which I purchased at the end of the season in a_sale were excellent as well, thumbs up to the club for that but I suppose it does make you think how much the kit was initially from the clubs wholesalers!

Definitely shirt these days mistert! As to the sale items, I think the club thinks us supporters make up 50% of medways obese adults because the two racks of sale shirts I checked out were xxl and above , think the purchasing dept needs to rethink its size requirements.
