Peter Taylor has finally decided his fitness hasn't measured up enough for a contract. Meanwhile former Fulham full-back Alex Brister who played at Ebbsfleet on Saturday is still on trial in an attempt to impress Peter Taylor enough to secure a deal

He can't say he's not had every chance to prove himself. Shame as a 29 year old premiership player shouldn't have let himself go in that way

Seems odd to me that a guy of his early ability and potential has slip into obscurity, since going on loan to Colchester from Coventry in 2008 he has made only some 67 appearances. Never really followed PT's reasoning in signing him or retaining him for the length of time that he did, however feel he must of had his reasons.

I think he played in every preseason, so cant say he didn't have his chance...saw him 4 times and thought his fitness was no way up to scratch from the first game...

The lad looked fitter against Ipswich than last year. But with such a young squad we will need our senior players to last 90 mins. That could be a reason why Taylor did not really push to get Bayo.Running out of gas could be a real problem with so many lacking games under there belts. We simply can't afford to gamble on a semi fit Borrowdale almost was not good enough.Had he pushed himself more during his time with us he would have got a deal. His loss in my view,Taylor gave him every chance. With the injury to Martin he had enough game time to impress and get fit.

Well what can you say, if after spending 8 months at a professional football club and you still can't get yourself to League One fitness levels then there is something seriously wrong, he obviously never wanted it enough. It almost seems a waste that he did play in every pre season game

From what I saw of him he can pass a good ball and much better than most of our players, but as you all say his fitness was poor and I thought his positioning a little suspect. I can see why pt persevered with him, but 100% behind above comments; if he can't get himself fit then there is something seriously wrong with the man.

Im sure it cant be just lazyness,in getting fit?,i would have thought there is some long term niggling injury stopping him? Anyway the decision is now made, and hopefully PT has a few other ideas up his sleeve, and the new rumours on Inniss are rearing yet again.....

Palace seem to think that Inniss should go on loan to a championship team.

What they get will be at best league one I think. From the limited time I saw him last season he had got potential, but needs to learn a lot from playing games and I don't think he will be first choice at a championship side.
